The wiring and sockets were nearly useless after more than two decades, and Lund no longer offered anything for this visor. "Yeah, I could make that work!" I thought when I saw these lights. " I disassembled the visor, drilled holes in the visor where the other lights had been, rewired it, found aftermarket lenses, and voila!" There's a new visor on the way! The only issue was that I couldn't change a light without taking off the visor. But, hey, what's a little snafu? LEDs have a life expectancy of 50,000 hours. They're going to outlast the truck by a long shot! Wrong! I installed them last summer, and they worked perfectly until the middle of this year. The one from the previous winter had vanished. I waited until spring to replace it, which required removing the visor, hard wiring a replacement LED, and then reinstalling the visor. So, one of the lights in the room has gone out. It happens all the time. However, two weeks later, a new one was sent out! ARGH! Needless to say, I'm currently redesigning it, but this time with different LEDs that can be changed without having to remove the visor! Perhaps I should have given it more thought when I first did it, but the concept worked well and looked good until, well, you know. I'd say go ahead and replace them if they're easy to replace for whatever purpose you're using them for. I'd make a different decision if that wasn't the case.

I put 5 on each side and they look great, but I'm ordering another set because one of the lights started to flicker, so I rewired it just to make sure it wasn't the light, but it still flickers, so I'm ordering this set as replacements going forward, maybe I' 2/23/18 so I had to update this because they have a 60% failure rate after 6 months the one that I did has burnt out even though they looked great I have to lower%.

It was a simple installation. The majority of the grommets in my 3/4" holes are a little loose. In any case, they're stunning. It really draws attention to my new Aluma 7814 trailer!.

First and foremost, these are my favorites. In fact, my truck has 13 of them. I will say, however, that in the year or so since they were installed, I have had to replace more than half of them. Although they are simple to replace, I would like to point out that they do not last as long as one might expect. The fronts move at a faster pace than the sides. I have to assume that it’s because the lights’t 100% are’t 100% are’t 100% are’t 100% are’t 100% are’t 100% are’t.

Only one of the lights was turned on. On a custom trailer, I mounted these. Before I installed the lights, I tested each one and discovered that one of them was defective. The problem was due to a manufacturing flaw, but the lights themselves are excellent.

I'm only giving it three stars because after connecting black wire to black wire and heat shrinking it to waterproof it for my boat trailer, I only gave it three stars. Nothing worked when I turned the lights on. It turns out that you must connect the trailer's black wire to the light's white wire. Also, from the trailer to the light, there is a white wire. They're great now that I've figured that out.
