So far, it has been a great product. It's been a while since I installed this. This is a very bright lamp. There is no flicker, but it does need some adjusting. Orange is a nice bright color. The right now, everything seems to be working great. I'll keep you posted if any problems arise! I've been away from home for a week and not a single problem has come up. These put out so much more light than the OEM fog lights that you'll find it hard to believe. These lights have been on for almost a year and are performing just as well as ever. My review has been raised.
The amber fog lights came with the Jeep JK I bought. When I saw that Xprite install instructions recommended removing the entire front bumper, I was a little concerned. The same thing had been done by other JK owners. It has even come to the point that some people have disconnected their sway bar altogether! They made it sound so serious, but it wasn't as bad as they thought. It is only necessary to remove the bumper insert in the front. In any case, it was quite simple to.
Fog lamps like these are great! It will install in an hour if you plug it in. Compared to the stock lamps, they are at least twice as bright. Neither of these have been run in foul weather yet, but the conspicuity (visibility to others) is clear and not In the past, I've had white fog lamps, and they turned the fog bank into a dense fog wall you couldn't This is better since it is amber, and I think it's going to work well. In the event of a fog, I will update you. It would have been easier to do if the bumper had been off, but it wasn't too difficult. As long as my bumper was on, I was able to work blind. I spent about 45 minutes each alternating loud cursing and zen meditation on the first one. Ten minutes was the time it took for the second one. Taking nut off tiny screws without having to see them is all I really had to do to keep from squinting. The wiring harness is in good condition, but I taped it up and zip-tied it Connected everything to the harnesses already in place.
Their perfect fit made them seem like they were made for each other. I really like the way they look and how bright they are. UPDATE
Two and a half years have passed and the project is still going. The Midwest is the place where I drive daily my car. In a year, we get snow and hot temperatures over 100°F. There are no words to describe how highly I recommend them! It's awesome to have fog lights like those.
In addition to the fog lights, I bought amber halo lenses. It was easy to install and the company explained how to connect them in order to do what I needed. As an example of how it can be done with some clever wiring, here is what I was able to achieve The picture #1 is a picture of While daytime lighting is on, it is automatically dimmed. In Picture #2, only white halo can be seen. Parking lights are set to In picture #3, you can see the amber halos, fog light halos, side markers, and signal lights. The low beam, amber halo, fog light halo, side markers and signal lights illuminate when the lights are set to Typical signal light flashes during a turn
Picture I turned the lights on and turned on the fog.
The bright colors and pleasing design of these are one of the reasons I bought them based on all the positive reviews they previously received. The parts do not fit identically to the Accordions are about 3/8" short of the shoulder of the bumper where they should sit when they are inserted into the aperture of the bumper. I guess this isn't really a big deal and you wouldn't notice it unless you were very familiar with these cars. It's not for nothing that I'm a little picky when it comes to Ultimately, that's the only thing that matters. Although I attempted to install the components without removing the bumper, I ultimately took it off to install the components, which made the installation very simple. Despite spending about 45 minutes banging my head against the undercarriage, this was an easy installation. During the next few weeks, I will use them to see how they work.
These lights are of great quality at a very reasonable price. If you own a Jeep JK, take note of the following. 1 . *br1. It seems to be related to an aftermarket steel bumper, but if I disconnect the front sway bar, the lights will not come on or off. If necessary, you can also remove the bumper for easier installation, but with a steel bumper and winch it was a lot easier to handle the job with the bumper still in place. 1. 2. adapter plug has reversed polarity, so you will either have to locate the pins and flip them around or cut and flip the wires to fix the problem.
