Questions & Answers

The lock nut is slipping to the bottom of the tensioner. Does this cause a problem? For a power of that magnitude, it looks weak. ?

You are right, I have a 1998 LS1 that is a direct replacement, and it has a manual tensioner, so you have to adjust it. It works like a charm though.

* If you do not need a vacuum pump, save the money and get this ict billet one instead. It was a good.

Since I did not realize I had to adjust the tension myself, it worked on its own, and now I am no longer able to hear the squeak that was there with my old warm out tensioner. I now have a car that runs like a dream. I thought the instructions were very clear and concise, and the product itself is of high quality. It took less than one hour to remove the old one and replace it with the new one.

A fix was found for my belt slipping issue

In a nutshell, Having installed a LSA blower on my 5, I would like to share the results with you. We used an Olson Kustoms 8 rib drive with a 7Ls1 which kept the belt from slipping with the stock pulley tensioner. I got it fixed instantly with this!.
