It's an OEM product at an unbeatable price
5/5

Installation is also a breeze. However, there are a few points to note. I am nbsp The 2006 Yukon Denali had 126K miles on it, so this is an OEM replacement. The original tensioner I own is a two-stroke rather than the standard three-stroke A bolt version is available. A unique feature of Amazon is the fact that they sell these three-packs There have been several reviews on this version of bolt tensioner where buyers stated they needed it. #1 - Do not use your smartphone while driving Be sure that you have lifted your hood and have a good look before placing your order. There is both a Windows and Mac version. It's just as well for me that there were that many people who made this mistake, as several of these "Like-New" are available via A friend of mine picked my up for $26 and it was "Like New. ". It appears to be a return for an incorrect order. The item I ordered was designed to fit my vehicle perfectly and was easy to install with a 15mm socket on a 3/8 ratchet and Any hoses or anything else relating to the air intake need not be removed. My arm reached underneath all the way and swung the ratchet without any problem. Tips #2 Have a variety of things on hand to keep you busy After releasing tension from the belt, press down on the ratchet handle with the handle pointing towards the 3 o'clock position to allow the handle enough room to swing back again after tension is released. The pulley will spring back fully to its original position when tension is released. You can see a picture of the old and new item, which is I have also included a video to illustrate the differences between my old and new tensioners. Look at the old one and notice how freely it You can hear some grit in the sound if you turn up the volume. The bearings need to be replaced both aesthetically and functionally. Unlike the new one, in the video as well, which does not move as I am glad they are new because they are in perfect condition. The bottom line Great OEM product. Incredible price. Big win over dealer prices.

There is a little play in the bearing but the springs are The squealing noise came and went intermittently, and I decided to change the idler, the AC belt and tensioner, the alternator, and the belt
4/5

There were three bad bearings on the alternator, the idler, and the AC tensioner, all of which were ACDelco. All those parts were changed, but it still squealed when cold (winter). Everything else on the wheel and bearing felt smooth and wasn't suspicious. Using water to spray the belt made the noise go away, and I narrowed down the cause of the noise to the belt and not worn out pulley bearings. In addition to washing and degreasing the pulleys, I cleaned them as well. The squealing was still going on. It is either a misalignment of the pulley or some other reason for the belt shifting intermittently. After changing this belt tensioner, I finally changed the belt. Purchased form the dealer) with an ACDelco battery. Now that the squealing has ceased, I feel much better. I believe belt squeal is a real issue with these Silverados, as I've seen countless videos online that talk about belt alignment, belt contamination, and belt brand. I was confused by someone's video where some side-by-side comparisons were shown. There was a side wiggle with this tensioner wheel, and that was one of the reasons for failure. I guess either I'm all off-kilter or I'm all off-track Here is The- It may be that the tensioner on the shelf is bad or the mechanic in the video misunderstood the physics. The mechanic got it wrong, that was my bet. The tensioner in the video appears to be Gates brand. I have examined my original ACDelco, the new ACDelco, a new ACDelco pulley wheel by itself, and the Gates brand tensioner, so far. There's no difference in how much wiggle there is in the bearings for all four pulley wheels. Compared to the previous model, how does the new one differ? Is there a reason my squeal stopped? As a result, I have noticed that the spring tension in this new one is much greater than the one I was using previously. While the pulley had low mileage and good bearings, it might have been too old, so the belt might not have held The fact that the spring is tighter means the belt will be tighter, which means less slippage. The noise level is lower.

Fits perfectly on my 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV
4/5

A great OEM product. As I mentioned before, it only has two mounting holes and instead of three as part of the original, I have given it four stars instead of five. In fact, GM describes this as the OEM replacement part. Originally from Canada, this product was made there. Honestly, I do not see how missing the third mounting hole is going to be an issue. It is still necessary to use the two holes where the long bolts are. As a form of safety, I still installed the third short bolt and torqued it just in case I should need it in the future.

Make sure you see the product before you buy it

The only pulley I encountered a problem with when replacing all my pulleys and belts was this one. You could get this replacement part if you enter your VIN. If you put in your VIN they might give it to you. The reason for this. I have not found one that is exactly like my original piece, but this one may work. The original I have has three bolt points and that is what I decided to use. When that time comes, I'll replace it with another made by a competitor that is a perfect match to the The part that bolts onto the water pump could break, and I'm concerned it could snap the ears off the pump. My desire was not to learn more about her. So, check in your engine to see what you have. If there are two bolt points and no triangular mounting bracket, then you have the right I will include a picture of my water pump in this post. There are two bolts on the ears that connect to it, and a third bolt that goes firmly into the solid body at the top of the mount for the water pump.

That's a good fit for you
5/5

My 2003 Escalade 6 was a perfect fit with this tensioner. It was essential that the two bolt style be used. In addition to three-bolt ones, there are also two-bolt ones. Make sure the tensioner you order is the right one by checking your tensioner prior to ordering. Several reviews suggested that they are interchangeable but why not just get the correct part the first time. There is no apparent difference in quality between this car and the original one with 150k miles. Usually, I am very pleased with the part and it is half the cost of what I would have paid at a.

Perfect fit OEM replacement for GMC Yukon Denali 2008 models
5/5

For my 2008 GMC Yukon Denali, I purchased this as a replacement part - it's a perfect fit In comparison to my previous model, this is a two-bolt model. It holds tension, just like the previous model, and I just put the leftover bolt back where it belongs on the engine. After 1500 miles of use, no noise, no tension, no slip has been reported. It is expected of ACDelco to provide great quality.

In the original pulley there were three bolts, but this one only has two! It has three tensioners on top, and my 2002 Tahoe has four tensioners A bolt
3/5

Only two units are available in this unit. I can buy three of them if I so choose If you're buying a 2-bolt part, why would you buy a 3-bolt part Is it possible to reduce the strength of the tensioner mounting by using a bolt part? Exactly the opposite of what I'm looking for. Fits and works, but with "less" mounting strength for anything, even the belt drive on an LS, I'm not crazy about it.
