I believe the hose connector has a restrictor, so if you mean that you need the quick disconnect at the end of the hose, then you should have one. It has been a little over a year and a half since I did that work, but I did a side-by-side comparison and both hoses appeared to be the same. The hoses I bought did not cause any problems for me. The Motorcraft one is higher quality and will probably function just fine, but I'm not sure

As well as the Motorcraft equivalent, my brain farted and I ordered this hose. I (KH-II Where shall we go from here? It is worth noting that Dayco is $10 cheaper than Dayco. Mexico is the source of both products. It is still Dayco, but I am replacing the Motorcraft in place of it.

The Motorcraft version is of higher quality overall, from the way the hose is formed, to the Quick Disconnect and the clamp, to the quick release mechanism. There is evidently a higher quality in all.

There is a quick disconnect end associated with the heater core

Throughout the heater core tube, I had to modify the quick disconnect end before installing, as the slots on the side of the quick disconnect would not allow a removal tool to slip into the slots in order to remove it when the hose would need to be replaced again at a later point. When I explained the problem to the Dayco representative, I also sent him the original one I removed from my truck, so he could see the difference when comparing it to the one on the Dayco He told me they would have some unhappy people after they try to remove these later on.
