Gates 27341 Barricade Fuel Injection Hose-25' Length, Inner Diameter 3/8"

It was exposed to gasoline while changing the hose, and it instantly blackened all of my fingers, not just a little, but a lot. Furthermore, I noticed black coffee ground material in my clear fuel bowl after priming the hose and running it through my fuel/water separator, indicating that the hose's interior was also disintegrating. It's a fuel hose, so this is ridiculous. I'm going to West Marine or my local auto parts store to get a good fuel hose because the last thing I need is to be stranded in the middle of the ocean because of this nonsense. I didn't buy other fuel hoses advertised on Amazon because other people were leaving reviews describing the exact same thing, so I'm guessing this seller has switched vendors because there aren't any reviews like it here. (I recently purchased fuel line from Advance Auto Parts for another application, and it never burned my fingers or caused hose material to accumulate in my fuel filter. ).

I bought a (25) foot length of hose on a spool and it was of excellent quality. If you're running longer lengths, I'd recommend removing it from the spool and letting it "relax" overnight or longer. Although the pressure rating is much higher than what I required for my needs, the "Barricade" hose eliminates the fuel odor that pervades and eminates from lower-grade hose.

Gates of love After seeing people being shorted by 5 feet, I was a little concerned about purchasing it. I used up all of my 25 feet. At $150 a roll, it's a lot less expensive than napa.

Although this is a Gates fuel injection line, it appears to be of good quality, it is only about 20 feet long. So three out of five stars.
