Please don't use this material for transmission lines! This stuff is probably fine for fuel, but not for the transmission or the oil cooler

The heat is too much for it. My transmission was never higher than 175 degrees Fahrenheit. Because this stuff is thinner than normal 3/8" rubber transmission line, the spring clamps weren't as tight as they needed to be when I noticed a little fluid where the hose met the cooler, I decided to pull it apart. I had wrapped some electrical tape around the ends to help with size and to keep the nylon from fraying. This, I believe, was the source of the leak. It took an hour just to get all of the rubber off the fittings because it had only been a few days and the lines were melting to the barbs. When it comes to something as important as hoses, name brands are the way to go. One of the most crucial things you can do for your truck is to keep the transmission cool.
