A big thank you for making it possible to maneuver a fuel hose to the desired location with ease. The fact that they didn't forge enough width on the threaded end of the swivel is something I really dislike. Before the swivel was fully tightened, either my 1 1/4 wrench or my adjustable wrench would jam up against the thing you were tightening it into or the swivel itself. They need to either widen the hex or keep it the same width but raise it so that it can be tightened completely without running out of wrench travel.
I threaded them on both ends of a portable refueling station hose and they fit and sealed perfectly with no leaks. If you don't use Teflon tape on the threads, you might overtighten them in the hopes of keeping them from leaking. Always use a thread sealant, such as Teflon tape, on these types of fittings. br> Shipping was quick and on time, which is fantastic for someone in south Kansas. br>Thank you, BI.
They're very well built, with two pivoting points, and I installed them today. The brass end swivels and articulates 360 degrees between the two steel parts. These are something I would strongly suggest. I attached one to the hose's nozzle and the other to the hose's pump end.
We've had three of these, one of which leaked before the first 2,000 gallon tank was empty, another which lasted a little longer, and one on one of our diesel trailer tanks which has lasted over a year despite being dragged down the road for about 5 miles when someone forgot to put the handle back in its holder, so one out of three has been great. It's important to keep in mind that they're inexpensive in comparison to other items we've purchased that have performed similarly.
We've paid a lot more for the same thing in the past. br>We are going to buy them again. We install transfer tanks and pumps for our customers, not because they break or wear out.
The items I received were not the same as those shown in the product photo. I would not recommend or buy them again because they are of poor quality.
When filling tanks or cans, it certainly keeps the kinks out of the hose. For cold hoses, it's a must.
The part appears to be of good quality, and it arrived within a few days. Good Buy!.
