In short, yes. The seal can be found in my 2500HD and 1500HD.
Seals of different sizes are present. Almost identical in size, one is a 48mm and one is something like a 53mm. It's been a while since I had to deal with it so I'm not sure exactly how big it is. My order was placed in the wrong size, but I found both sizes at O'riellys, the only place I found that had them both listed. They sold me the right one and I returned the Amazon one.
It fits my transfer case since I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 HD. I have a model 246 GM transfer case, according to the marking plate attached to my transfer The part measures 48mm in diameter. If it fits other models as well, I believe it fits your case as well. What I do not recall is the model number on your case.

I think the front might be better. A back one, however, I do not recommend.
My entire bearing life has been spent with Timken. I thought I would try the seals there to see how they held up. However, this new transfer case seal leaked worse than the stock Chevy one that had 250000 miles on it, which lasted only for a The product will not be purchased.
As soon as it came out of the box, you knew it was well constructed. As soon as you used it, you knew there was no need to take it back.
I ordered this product from Amazon and it said it would fit my 2006 3/4 ton Silverado. The picture did not fit in fact. It was a complete waste of time to pull my driveshaft.
The program does what it should. I pressed right in, and the leak in the transfer case has stopped. Z71 from the year 2003.
I am unable to fit 2004 Silverado 2500 HD with this item. The item was listed as fitting on Amazon. The answer is no. Buying the part from the dealer was necessary.
