The best thing to do is As for my 2006 F250 6, this is what I needed. There is no difference I would like to offer some advice It is very important to always use the install tool, otherwise you may damage the seal. It is an expensive tool (around $80 if I recall correctly), but trust me, you NEED it whether you borrow it or buy it. We wish you all the best.
If your truck has an axle with 05 size, order the seal for an axle with 05 size.
Your truck will not work with this seal, it is for trucks up to 2005.
My first step would be to replace the seal if it isn't perfect. When I bought the tool to install it, it went in without any issues.

A perfect fit for a 7l. The build quality is excellent. did my left half in this manner, but will order for my right half when I get to that project. You need OTC 6697 to put this seal on the axle, and then you will use another tool to insert it into the knuckle to secure it in position.
My 2008 F350 Lariat is a bit of a beast. According to reviews, these were perfect. Every auto store website said that these matched up perfectly. The seal was left with about a 3/16 gap from the axel to the seal. There was something wrong with them or I thought they were not the ones I had chosen. I put my axel back in and said screw it. Popped off all the time. To do that, I put the old seal in there with these new ones and threw in a little beater. It actually worked just fine. Additionally, the dust seal has been upgraded. There is also a small gap between the axel and the dust seal. It is sealed, I promise. Both of them work fine. To get the pass side axel out and in, I had to beat on it for quite some time. It was easy to get out and in on the driver's side. Be sure to wire brush the axel and Knucle before replacing them. Then spread some grease all over.
This seal was added to the F250 when it changed in 2005. Neither the Front Suspension nor the Front Axle was changed on the Excursion. This stuff won't fit in a 2005 Expedition, so don't order it. The seal that Amazon says fits an 04 Excursion should be ordered. Unfortunately, my return window closed more than two weeks ago, so I've now got 55 axle seals worth $55 that can't be returned. Many thanks to.
Please click here. I thought there were supposed to be two of these in the package, even though this part is right. I'm a bit bummed that I'll have to order another from the local store instead.
This is the second one I have bought. A flawless installation was accomplished by One. I don't like the other one so much. I returned the old one and ordered a new one.
Both have failed in a little over a year. I have a lot of work to do.
According to what was The system worked as expected Everything went well with the installation.
