Questions & Answers

Is there a charger converter system that the Optima is compatible with? It is time for maintenance on my current wet house battery. ?

In order to charge gel batteries, you are required to use a "modern" charger that includes a gel-battery The gel batteries I have had drained too much had to be recharged with a new charger after being discharged too much. Gel batteries probably need a different program that pertains to the way charge is taken up by the gel/electrode system rather than an electrode system with wet electrodes. There seems to be some information about charging gel batteries on the Optima website.

This seems to be a good marine battery, is it not?

It's a yes from me. All positions and seals are in place. It holds a charge very well, is incredibly strong, and it is incredibly strong. A Landcruiser battery came to me this morning, and I used it to replace an almost new Toyata battery. There is only one or two drives per week on the ca. Despite its best efforts, the Toyota battery failed to hold a charge. I can see over 1000 amps cold cranking on this yellow top. It was just 500 for the Toyota. It has Volvo diesel engines. I have a boat with these To run the other nine lights, I use two 27F marine deep cycle batteries. The yellow top battery could do the job on its own, but it is costly.

Do you want the side bar at the top of the post or at the bottom? Are you looking for one specially made for this battery's amps and reserve capacities in a dual post configuration?

Posts about SAE Automotive are at the top of the SAE Automotive posts list. This version is also reverse polarity because it is an "F." There are two types of top posts on the blue top, the SAE Auto and the Stud, and your standard polarity as well.

Do not make a warranty claim if you cannot return the product
3/5

I had the same problem in my LX 450 that I use often after eight months. I needed an Optima charger since my charger did not have enough power to recharge deeply discharged batteries. As its performance began to fade, Customer Service at Optima suggested that I purchase an Optima charger. Taking care of that was my responsibility. There was a further decline in its performance. There are still issues with my warranty claim, but I have to send a test report before the warranty will be honored. Since I purchased the battery through Amazon, it has been very difficult to return it. It has been a terrible experience purchasing this expensive battery.

It dies at 36 months under its 36 month warranty
3/5

It used to be that these batteries were amazing, but the quality diminished over time as the prices went In the past (15 years ago) I had five optima batteries that all failed when under heavy use, and I think they used to come with a 5 year warranty back then, but the last four batteries I bought in the recent past died after they had a 36 month warranty period. Despite only a month of inactivity, my last 2 Yellow Tops will not be able to be used again. Upon returning from the winter, I discovered that my non-deep cell batteries had come back to life. It was February. In July 2019, a battery failed that had been sitting for the month of June since the 2106 purchase date.

I am disappointed
3/5

In my retirement, I am planning to do a lot of traveling A "quality product" was purchased at a premium price but did not perform as it was The things I post like this are very rare for me because I live in Alabama. Having only used it once a week for going to town in my Tundra Pickup now, it is as good as dead! There is no quality assurance warranty on Optima!.

This yellow POS stands for Point of Sale
3/5

I can't believe what a $300 yellow piece of crap looks like! It's a tie between the yellow top and the optima. Purchased on September 30, 2019, this battery has a capacity of 70 ah. It is currently hooked up to a battery charger as of January 17,2020. My battery was purchased so that I can put it in a vehicle that I don't It was useless when I took it out for a spin. Despite the fact that I had a red top battery in an old truck that I don't drive much during the summer and it started right up, I shouldn't have bought a battery online. You could buy this at a local parts store for a few bucks less than the hobby store. I am very disappointed in the battery and myself for purchasing it.

Money is not to be wasted
3/5

The battery I have on my Tacoma has been on for 2 years and 2 months now. The 18 months that I used this product were spent in California, where I had to drive 50 miles each way to work each To be fair, I've relocated to upstate New York in October 2020 and am now driving approximately 4 miles to work each day now. Several times I've been forced to charge this battery due to it not liking the cold and not allowing the truck to start. The battery is now at 7 volts, so it needs to be recharged I expected more than three years out of the battery for the 300 bucks I paid for it. Let's see if it survives. I will no longer be driving Optima.

There are good reviews for this battery, but hasn't it been on the shelf for a year and a half already? A new and improved Optima 8037 After installing and charging the 127 D27F YellowTop Starting Battery I purchased, my 2005 Toyota pickup is now in safe working order
4/5

Fast and safe delivery of the order was achieved. We have installed a similar system in another vehicle which has served us well for a number of Even though this new order came with enough charge to start my truck, I put a 2 amp charger on it to make sure it was fully charged. I noticed a red sticker on the top of the battery with 5/15 printed on it after I removed the charger. My memory may be playing tricks on me, but I think this battery is already one and a half years is just now that my Toyota's factory battery after 11 years is being replaced. This may not affect the duration of the warranty. While it is clear that this new battery has not been used, I'm not quite sure what its age is? Is the seller able to provide more information?.

This battery is of the highest quality
5/5

A new Optima Yellow Top, 6 has just been installed in my car. After five years, it is still in use. I am nearing the end of the service life of my current battery. Will it last until next year or longer? It should last for some time in his spare truck if the old battery is still in there. The battery fits my Tundra without modification. It is an AGM battery of top quality and has excellent performance. There is a dual purpose battery here that can be used for starting and high amp hour applications. If you're driving a Jeep or 4x4 truck in a remote area, do you need more juice for your lights, winch, or refrigerator? If you don't want your truck to go down during work, you might want to put a backup battery in it. Get yourself the right tool by spending a few extra dollars.

Great product, as described
4/5

I've been a fan for a long time. My Toyota Tacoma 4x4 V6 (over an inch of extra room on each side) easily fits this item. The shipping/packaging method I chose was regular. FedEx delivered the product without damage in a cardboard box that was lined with inch-thick foam (top, bottom, and ends). I did not see any visual damage during When the vehicle was connected to the battery, the vehicle immediately started up. I would change to love the battery if it lasted as long as it is advertised. A new update In September of 2020 (purchased in 2015), the battery is still on board. This battery holds a great charge even after a couple deep cycles. (Left lights, car electronics on, etc. ) I have deep cycled it twice, and it contains very little resistance. A "re-" method was used MULTI US 7002 12-353) Charger), since it was difficult to start the truck if it sat for more than 5 days. This was due to reconditioning it a couple of times. am in charge of these electronic components Satellite radio receiver, aftermarket radio with GPS, WiFi and Android OS, ATOTO Android in dash touch screen, etc. In addition to the usual equipment (headlights, wipers, signals, etc. ), there is a HAM radio, various cell phone chargers, and an aftermarket rear LED light. The negative review may be the result of deep cycling the battery too many times, or not putting it on a charger/reconditioner when it sits for extended periods of time. One complaint is the battery was $199 5 years ago, and now it is.
