The Amazon listing for my 1989 Buick Riviera is incorrect. I checked the Cardone online catalog and this is the correct item. Don't believe Amazon when they say it won't fit your car.

On the inside of the box is a bright orange label that reminds the installer to check the car wiring before installing. br>br>My wiring was fine, and this is an exact replacement for the original. The engine code has been removed, and I now have working cruise control. Uses existing screws, so don't lose them, and is a very simple item to install yourself if they are available.

The first one I received had a defect right out of the box- It almost worked, but it set a code that hadn't been there before, and it didn't come back after the defective unit was replaced. The second unit works great and is a small price to pay for the convenience of having cruise control again. br>It emphasizes the importance of verifying that the remanufactured part is working as it should by checking for codes, because your check engine light will never come on for a CC defect. Hopefully, the flaw was due to a rare QC oversight. up, and the unit will last a long time. br>1 star deducted for a defect that slipped through their testing.
