Questions & Answers

Is there a set of bushings, washers, and nuts included?

It came with everything I needed to put my Dana 44 together, including bushings.

Is it true that both the axle and tie rod brackets are included? thanks- ?

Mine came with all of the necessary hardware for both sides of the stabilizer to be installed in the vehicle; I know it was the correct hardware because I was replacing an old rancho stabilizer, and it had all of the same brackets and fit in all of the old hardware's original locations.

I'll need ten inches of space to travel. What's the part number for a damper that has such a long translation?

Do you require a steering dampener with a diameter of ten inches? Or how about a ten-inch travel shock? To my knowledge, an 8" steering damper has the most travel.

For my 1997 F-150, the photo only shows one bracket. The axle is a Dana60 solid beam axle, and the engine is a 350. Is there a set of two? Is it possible to have one for the axle and one for the tie rod?

Two brackets are present in yes.

The kit is simple and straightforward to put together
5/5

The product is of excellent quality and matches the rest of the Skyjacker line. This was installed on a 1990 Dodge W150 that had been converted to a D60. I don't usually use stabilizers, but with crossover steering, it adds a little more "feel" at highway speeds, where a 1:50 ratio is typical. The ratio of one crossover arm to one pitman tends to be soft. The kit comes with everything you need, and the instructions are clear and concise if you need them.

Very simple and quick to do
5/5

It's a sturdy part that's easy to put together. A ratchet and two sockets are all that's required. This is what I put on my 97 Dodge Ram 1500, which has a Dana 44 solid axle in the front. Because I'm using a new steering linkage, the original dampener wouldn't fit. This should take you no more than 30 minutes to put together. Install it near the passenger tire on this truck; there's a convenient location.

Performs as expected - Installing is a breeze
4/5

Once you've gathered all of the necessary equipment. When I went to install it, four of the Nylock nuts were missing from the install kit, so I gave it a 4/5. Fortunately, I was able to find some suitable nuts and lock washers in my hardware drawer. Installed quickly and significantly improved the handling of my 1979 Scout, which previously lacked a stabilizer and was a "white knuckler" even at 55 mph.
