There was only one thing disappointing about the kit. A drop spindle kit for my 1971 Monte Carlo has recently been ordered. I was pleased with the quality of the spindles and how easy the installation was. downside of this kit was that I wasn't able to use my factory dust shields with the There was a problem with the stock dust shield not fitting flush with In addition, I discovered that the 2 bolts provided of which I used to mount the stock steering arm were too short. The bolts needed to be replaced with the correct length so I went to the hardware store to buy them. As a whole, I was satisfied with the spindles themselves and they achieved the stance I desired.
These transformed the look of my 69 Buick GS. I couldn't believe it after installing them. I would expect the quality to be the same as with Only one minor modification needs to be done, so a shade tree mechanic should be able to take care of it. Surely if you are intelligent enough to replace a set of spindles, you should be able to do it. As I said, they really make the car look better with the curvature. Furthermore, it handles better than the previous version.
PRODUCT CAME AS A SINGLE ITEM, SO IT GETS ONE STAR. The item has been returned.
I like the way these spindles look and how they perform. They have worked for me on a 71 Chevelle without a scratch. To make them work, you must modify your brake bracket, which was not disclosed to me up front. I would have rated them a 5 if the manufacturer had told me that up front. It will have to be cut or ground off the corner of the bracket where you mount the steering arm because it hits the head of the bottom bolt. Although it sounds simple, the brackets are what hold your brakes on, so they are quite thick. You can't just grind those old grinding wheels on them no matter how good you are. *My only complaint is that I paid too much for what I received.
