Questions & Answers

How did the superspring ssa13 perform with one leaf removed in the winter? I have a F250 and use it to hall 2000 on a regular basis. Is it better to keep or remove the second leaf?

I recently purchased an F-class vehicle. With these installed, the total capacity is 250. The previous owner used both leafs and hauled similar weights to you. With both leafs in place, the ride is very stable and smooth. However, because I don't haul nearly as much as I used to, I'd like to sell these. Please let me know if you're looking for a used set.

My 5th wheel has a pin weight of almost 3,000 pounds and I have a 2012 GMC 3500 GD dually. Is this going to keep me from getting overwhelmed?

Your stock springs will definitely not be overloaded with the 5,000 Super Springs. My 2013 F250 has these, and when I hitch up to my fifth wheel with a pin weight of around 2,300 pounds, my truck squats about 2 - 3 inches. 1/2". When trailering, the Super Springs perform admirably. The truck rides a little rougher when it's empty, but it's not bad. It's also very easy to put together. The 5,000 set is the one I recommend. You won't be disappointed, I promise!

Is it true that the super spring for the Ford F350 also works on the duel wheel truck?

It worked for me on my single-wheel Chevy 2500, but it should work for you as well if you have a leaf spring to bolt the super spring to. My springs leveled out my back end without stiffening my ride, which was a huge plus.

How do these fare in the absence of a load?

They don't really start to work until they're loaded.

For the first side, it took two hours and thirty minutes, and for the second, it took thirty minutes
5/5

My truck was raised 1 inch in the front and back holes on the bottom hole. On a 2015 Silverado 2500 HD, it's 5". It stiffens the ride, but only slightly. I haven't yet made contact with the camper. I tow a fifth wheel with a gross vehicle weight rating of 14,000 pounds. Installation Instructions: u-jack up under axle u-jack up under axle u-jack up under axle u Use a jack stand to remove the tire, install the mounting kit, place the spring on top in the desired location, swing the rear shackle down, and tighten the nut. The spring will be about 18" higher than the factory leafs in the front. Place a large floor jack under the front spring shackle and raise it until the super spring is close enough to the factory spring to get your c-pillar in place. clamp on. I had to shim my jack an additional 1" because I used a 6" clamp. 5" in order to get the two springs close enough for c- clamp on. Using the c-clamp, pull the springs together. Clamp the bolt in place and insert it into the hole. I then attached the spring to the mounting bracket with the hardware that came with it. I could probably put another set up in less than an hour now that I know how to do it. On the first side, it took a lot of trial and error; good luck, and I hope this review is useful to someone!.

On my Ford Dually, it worked great
4/5

When towing my fifth wheel, the rear springs on my '16 F350 Dually are so soft that not even airbags and Rancho adjustable shocks could keep the truck from porpoising and chucking. It got to the point where I was afraid of losing control at times. Sure, I switched around the tongue weight, but that only got me so far. My '08 GMC was fine with airbags and shocks, while my '15 RAM only needed bags for leveling. Something more was required of the Ford. br>br>Because I didn't know how well the SuperSprings would work, I ordered the SSA13s, which had two leaves per side, and installed them with the help of two bottle jacks. The front leaf spring mount was used to lift the truck with one. This curved the stock spring to resemble the SuperSprings' shape, making it easier to work with. The front mount was installed first, then the rear of the SuperSpring was pushed down using the second bottle jack and a block of wood between the jack and the bed. br>br>The two leaves per side were a little excessive. Because the SuperSprings now push down on the stock overload leaf, it was almost like there were three leaves on each side. When I loaded the trailer onto the truck, it barely squatted and rode like a rock. Too far in the opposite direction. br>br>It is possible to remove one of the SSA13's leaves, resulting in an SSA16. That is precisely what I did. I took a leaf out of each side and tightened the springs on their mount one setting higher. Even without the trailer, this activated the overloads. The truck has a day and night difference. When towing, only a small amount of air in the airbags is required to keep the vehicle level. Porpoising has completely disappeared, and chucking has become a gentle bump. It's also fun to drive without the trailer attached. The truck is more rigid than a sports car, but not as much as a kidney-shaped vehicle. buster. br>br>So, if the SSA16's apply, take a look at them. They're less expensive, and they're essentially what I installed with great success. YMMV.

For the money, this is a good option
5/5

After adding a dump insert to my chevy k2500 (gmt400), a friend in the commercial towing industry recommended supersprings, which are what they use on tow trucks and flat-bed trucks. They offer beds for purchase. They were simple to install (I used the recommended MXKT kit), but I had to make sure the threaded ends of the bolts were facing outward to avoid rubbing the frame, and I had to remove the small nubs (plastic) from the factory leaf spring pads to allow for proper roller movement. br>br>The dump insert is likely to weigh between 500 and 1,000 pounds. With a weight of 600 pounds and some pre-existing medical conditions, The truck rides at the same height it did before the dump insert was installed, and I can feel the suspension stiffening as I drive down the road, but it's not as uncomfortable as a thicker spring pack would be. This option was only a third to half the price of adding airbags (including compressor and controller) and about $200 less than buying new, heavier-duty airbags. springs of obligation.

It's working perfectly! Supersprings has made my life so much easier! I bought the Supersprings and adapters for a Deweze hydraulic bed on a 2012 3/4-ton Chevy gas truck
5/5

I chose the heavy duty Supersprings kit with two leafs and used the adapters because the customer said he sometimes puts two large bales on at once. The customer gave it a try and is very pleased with how the truck now rides. He made it a point to tell me how pleased he was with the Supersprings at least three times. I'm happy because the customer is pleased. All of my rancher customers will benefit from these! From start to finish, it took me about 2 hours, with the majority of that time spent figuring out where I wanted them to go.

My company ordered eight 2015 F250 XL work trucks with Royal service beds and pipe racks, and they are solid and simple to drive
5/5

No camper springs with extra load perches or springs were included with the XL F250s. The back end of the trucks, which were brand new and unloaded, were about 2" lower than the front end. We couldn't use the tow bar hitch without dragging it in and out of sloped entrances, and we couldn't step over into the bed with the back tire. This product was visible on a 2016 Ford F250 with a Royal bed that we ordered. When I called the local dealer, they demanded $500. I installed these myself using a floor jack, stands, and basic hand tools because Amazon had them much cheaper and free Prime shipping, which is insane for such a heavy product. They used the middle holes to lift the truck about 2 inches. The ride has greatly improved and is no longer harsh. This spring solution was simple to install and effective. Before I saw these, I was planning on paying $650 to have the factory springs leafed.
