Questions & Answers

My truck is a 2002 crew cab short bed, and the reviewer claims that the tapered block causes vibrations. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have an 04 and have had no problems with it; in fact, for some reason, it rides much better than my stock block. Excellent product.

Can I use these ubolts on my 00 F250 Superduty with the stock 2" block and add the 4" for a total of 6"?

It will undoubtedly work; in fact, it is extremely popular. Simply remove the carrier bearing and all angles will be aligned. ps I have an 03 f350 on a 6 cylinder.

Is there a spacer for the carrier bearing?

There were no spacers included in the kit I purchased.

Selected User Reviews For Readylift 66-2094 4" Rear Block Kit - Ford Super Duty (1-pc Drive Shaft Only) 1999-2010, silver

The kit is of excellent quality and was delivered quickly
5/5

I'm not usually enthralled by blocks and u-turns. Despite a few flaws, this kit has left me very impressed. I placed my order on a Thursday and received it the following Saturday. Even so, it's Memorial Weekend. The presentation is superb. This isn't low-cost Chinese merchandise. This is some top-notch material. As good as, if not better than, original equipment manufacturers (OEM). I ordered this kit for a 2002 Excursion with a diesel engine, and I installed front V code F350 springs, which caused the rear to sag about 2". I noticed that my factory 2" blocks were different from the factory 4" blocks used on the F350 and F250 pickups. So I leveled my Excursion with this kit. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. In addition, there are detailed instructions. In about 20 minutes, I had the system up and running. (I'm fortunate enough to have access to a car lift and air tools. ) Here are some photos of the fantastic products and packaging, as well as the final appearance of my rig. The only thing that bothered me was that the u bolts were about 3" longer than they needed to be, implying that you'll need a deeper deep socket to install them, or you can trim them so that a regular deep socket will suffice. It was not an issue for me because I had a deep deep socket.

The Problem of Quality Control- I bought these for my 2009 Ford F-150 and received no service from the company
3/5

250 4x4. The blocks themselves are in good condition and appear to be of good quality. However, after securing the nuts to the u-shaped bar, I couldn't get the bolts any tighter on the threads even after finger tightening them. They had not been cross-examined. threaded. I tried using a rachet, breaker bar, and impact wrench, but none of them worked. I'm still stumped as to what went wrong. br>br>I tried calling ReadyLift twice and was put on hold both times, never getting through to a live person. I left messages on each call but did not receive a call back. This is the last ReadyLift product I will buy, and I strongly advise any potential customers to avoid it.

It was the perfect fit
5/5

Some reviewers suggest shortening the u-shaped part. Bolts, on the other hand, aren't something you should be concerned about Put the floor jack under the back bumper and jack up the side you're working on; it'll give you a lot more room to work underneath. There's also no need to remove the tires. Remove the old u-bolt with an impact wrench and a 24mm deep socket. bolts. Remove the old blocks and replace them with new ones, as well as new u-shaped blocks. bolts. Reverse the process by lowering the jack. Now I see how if there is a lot of rust to contend with, it would take longer to complete. It took me about an hour to finish, and then I was on my way down the road, oh happy day.

When lifting the back, keep the taper in mind
4/5

The quality of the blocks is as expected, but the height is a little misleading. The block has a taper from 4 inches to 3 inches. So, when replacing a 2in block, your lift is only about 1in, not 2in. The block returned some rake to my truck, but not as much as it had before. If I had to do it all over again, I would have purchased a 5in block to go with my 2in level in order to return the truck to stock take. The block appears to be of good quality, but it does not appear to provide as much lift as I had hoped.

This is a great product and a great purchase
4/5

I purchased these for my 2003 Ford F-250 4x4 and installed them in about an hour using a basic jack and jackstands. My only gripe is that the 25mm nuts provided for the u-bolts are too small. br> I'm not sure why, but the bolts had to be ground down a tiny bit to fit the socket. There were also no torque specifications for bolts larger than 20mm. However, aside from that, it's a fantastic product.

I bought the wrong part, so let me begin by saying, "I have the wrong part
3/5

" Now, on to the rest of my review. br>br>I own a 2008 Ford F250 4x4 Crew Cab short bed pickup truck. These were purchased to complement the ReadyLift front leveling kit. These trucks come with two different types of blocks: Tapered and nontapered (flat) are two different types of taper. I should've gotten the flat ones instead of the round ones. This is where I have a problem. br>br>I called ReadyLift (quickly picked up) to inform them that these blocks were not the same as the ones I had removed. No one has ever complained about a problem with these blocks, I've been assured on several occasions. If there was a problem, the solution is to purchase a multi-piece driveshaft carrier spacer. I expressed my desire to simply purchase the correct part, but the technician insisted that there would be no problems and that ReadyLift had installed thousands of these with no issues. br>br>Well, it turned out to be exactly what I had predicted. The truck shudders slightly every time I start driving from a stop and then disappears. This is precisely the problem that has been predicted if the incorrect blocks are used. br>br>It's too late; the blocks have been placed, and no one is willing to remove them. It was a good lesson. I'll have to install a carrier spacer to see if this goes away. br>br>Aside from that, the components are well-made and attractive. If you have any doubts, don't put your faith in ReadyLift. br>br>I deduct two points for the tech who assisted me giving me bad advice and speaking in a dismissive tone. However, they were quick to answer the phone.

Excellent for a day trip! The block has a nice angle to it, and it looks great
5/5

This is exactly what I needed to straighten out my pinion angle on my excursion after changing out the springs!.

Installing it is simple and quick
5/5

Installing it is simple and quick. After a 5" lift up front, I leveled the truck. These took the place of my factory 2" blocks. Just remember to re-enter the information. After a few hundred miles, tighten the U bolts.
