It's a simple install that gets rid of all the junk that comes with the system

In comparison to the stock IH electronic ignition, this is a significant improvement. Superior acceleration, improved throttle response, and increased low- and mid-range power. Best of all, when compared to a rebuilt stock distributor, it's a bargain. Compatible with the Accel coil that I have already installed. It is simple to put together. To perform the internal parts swap, I recommend removing the distributor. With it still in the block, there are a few small parts that could be easily misplaced. Disconnect the battery, remove the distributor cap, mark the rotor's orientation, remove the distributor, remove the old pieces, replace them, reconnect everything, start it up, and reset the timing. It's almost as if I'm glad the stock electrics melted.

For the same money, you get a lot more than the original

The installation was so simple that I didn't even remove the distributor. I've tried the original Pertronix in a variety of other situations with mixed results. It's the real deal with this one. Pig hunting in remote areas is difficult enough without having to deal with vehicle breakdowns. I switched because of heat issues that resulted in intermittent no-run situations. I wasn't expecting the outcomes that came next. I noticed touch the key start without even timing the 345, which speaks volumes about throttle response. Even in gear, revving from idle took seconds. The throat note from the pipes changed to a deep growl as the fuel mileage increased. All of this came as a result of switching to the Pertronix 91483A Ignitor II. This should point you in the right direction if you're wondering where the power went. Take pleasure in your pua'a.

I made a mistake and ordered the incorrect item

I ordered the wrong one; my advice is to call Pertronix before ordering; they are very nice and helpful, and they are happy to assist, and this is the best way to eliminate those points.
