Questions & Answers
My 1937 Dodge 1 1/2 Ton truck has a 6 volt positive ground system, and the Pertronix 2563LSp6 works flawlessly. I would strongly suggest it.
Hello, my car's positive ground voltage remains at 6 volts. For you, I used Google to look up information on this model - Here's how it goes with this one: (IGNITOR AUTOLITE/PRESTOLITE DISTRIBUTOR IGS SERIES 6 VOLT POSITIVE GROUND) I'm sure Pertronix makes this in 12 V as well, so shoot them an email or do some more research on Google. I haven't yet put it in my car, but I intend to do so soon. I hope you found this information useful. Bob

This was exactly what I needed to get rid of my points in my Autolite distributor, and it worked perfectly. Because my coil only had one wire, the included instructions were inadequate, but a quick call to Pertronix sorted everything out. Remove the distributor before installing to save time and effort. "The difficult path is the path of least resistance. " In the car, I keep the old, properly adjusted points, as well as a screwdriver and wrench, just in case. It's waiting for me if I ever need it. One thing to keep in mind about points is that they are unlikely to stop working without notice. That's the only thing about the Pertronix that makes me nervous, but I don't think I'll have any problems.
It was a huge success.
It really works.
In my 1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe, they work perfectly.
