What is the difference between this tachometer and an MSD Ignition tachometer you can connect directly to the ignition controller?

Streetfire box does not require an adapter to work with it. You can find MSDignition at msdignition.com. Go to www.com and find the box you're going to use the instructions will tell you if you need one. No firmware is necessary for the 6AL box, according to the MD website.

What if we don't need an adapter to use this with HEI distributor?

You can only buy them from JEGs with an adapter kit. In order to have my LS motor run, I had to buy one

What is the compatibility of MSD Ignition PN ?

To access MsDignition, click here. You can find instructions at parts.com by clicking the part#6425. There is a discussion of the tach on page 6. As far as I am concerned, it should be fine. I have it connected to an MSD streetfire 5502, and it's fine.

It is a very easy install and it will work with LS motors

You should check it out. It looks awesome, it works great and I like how you can adjust the shift light to whatever RPM you prefer. I used it in my 1969 prostreet twin turbos camaro. If you are the proud owner of a HotRod muscle car, then you need to check this out.

A Pro install is required

The fact of the matter is the fact of the matter. A giant tach sits on the dash of my car. You can get a cable driven tach if you want to get more accuracy with this. Nonetheless, this was a wonderful deal. It was 150 on the summit and 150 on the JEGs. There are still 100.

I think you're great, This is recommended! I'm in love with It would have been nice to get more wire for the green wire that goes to the coil, but over all, I would purchase again!
