I recently purchased one in black:
I can tell you from personal experience that this item works best when used in conjunction with an intake manifold spacer, CAI (K). N or Volant), as well as the JET PowerFlo MAF Sensor A fantastic feline- WITHOUT THE STANDARD "Y-HOLE" IN THE BACK EXHAUST "Pipe" can also be beneficial.

" is written on one side. If you put this on backwards, your vehicle will let you know pretty quickly! This product, in my opinion, is well worth the money. After installing, I had a few codes pop up, but nothing that a code reader in the parking lot at your local car parts store can't clear out. The truck was sensing too much air, so I had to relearn the throttle body. This was caused by me messing with the flap or valve inside the Throttle body unit while cleaning it. Anyway, it's been on my truck for about 4 weeks now and it's great! WOW! I can definitely feel more low-end torque now that the throttle response is much better. In the end, I gained about a pound. I'm happy with it because it gives me 5 more MPG. In addition, the spacer sounds fantastic! Simply take your time and complete the task properly. Because I noticed a minor leak from my factory O-ring, I used a small bead of RTV Blue gasket sealer to ensure a better seal. Ring. It's just a matter of taste.
At the time of writing, I had just received this item for the third time in a color that wasn't advertised (the product was red at the time). I only gave it one star because I ordered this item three times and each time it arrived in black, which was not what was advertised. I liked the red that was advertised and was looking forward to getting it because I'm planning on red and greening up the engine bay. br>br>Aside from that, the product emits a small whistle when accelerating, which I find amusing because it makes it sound like I have a supercharger in my car now hahaha. I'm not sure it has much of an impact on performance. It's amusing to me when a Nissan Xterra pulls up next to my racer friends and revs the engine, and they assume it's boosted. br>br>IF ANYONE READING THIS IS IN NEED OF A RED ONE, I AM AVAILABLE FOR TRADE!.
I'm not going to lie, I bought this because I enjoy hearing a good whistle from my engine compartment. My 2011 Frontier has a number of modifications that aid in the production of the whistle sound. It's not too loud (which is nice), but at the right RPMs (2,600-4,000), it's quite loud. It appears to be a fantastic number (3,400). It doesn't add a lot of power, but it smooths out the airflow into the engine, which is noticeable when you're slamming on the gas. Overall, if you like to modify your cars, a good Throttle body spacer is a must-have. It was simple to set up, and I've had nothing but praise for Airaid and this spacer in the six months I've had it. It's just that (Prime) improves it even more.
I rate this product as excellent because it is well-made and of high quality. Is it able to improve performance while also reducing fuel consumption? Not that I was able to tell. Maybe it would have made a good Mythbusters episode.
I like how it makes a whistle, and it helps my truck respond faster. I'm not sure about the mpgs because I keep speeding up to hear the whistle. I'd purchase it again.
I was hesitant about purchasing this item, but figured "why not?" The installation took less than 30 minutes, and it took a while for me to notice a difference, but I did notice a faster response and "pickup" when driving down the highway. I believe it functions properly, though I have yet to notice an improvement in gas mileage because I am still hot rodding around.
The fuel economy improved by a few tenths. However, no decrease in torque has been observed.
The product appears to be of high quality, and the poweraid advantage, as some refer to it, is evident. br>There are no installation issues, and I would only recommend using better bolts.
