In addition to providing maximum flow and acting as the heart of the FloMax system, the RF500M has a unique flow pattern to increase filtration efficiency

This patent-pending filter works at 30 gallons per hour and is capable of filtering water down to 3 microns. There are 579 square inches of filter media and a reservoir for capturing water

Do you know how long or how many gallons it takes before it needs to be replaced?

The last season I replaced it once a season (6 months) and didn't have any issues. I'm not sure how frequently it should be replaced, however.
