My opinion is that it is an absolute waste of money

A few minutes after mounting the kit to the engine, it started leaking Other than this way, I see no way it could be installed. We had to reuse the original bolts since the bolts that were provided with the kit were of the wrong size. It is difficult to repurpose the original bolts if they have a cap on them that could now allow the bolt to seat on A little grinding of the cap was necessary at the adapter to allow clearance. My opinion is that it is an absolute waste of money.

My oil filter block is the canister type found on Chevy motors from pre 1968

By doing this, you will be able to use the screw on filter instead of the old stock stuff. It leaked badly for me when I tried another style called "Mr G. ". It seems that this one does not leak, regardless of why I got it.

A transdapt 1024 is required

We have a 1962 Chevy 327 and it is a very nice adapter. This kit includes the gaskets and 1/4 bolts necessary for installation. I highly recommend this book!.

It does not leak. It is a great product. It does not leak. Filter adapter is easier to use than the traditional Chevy spin-on type. If you want to use a PH30, you should use a PH8A.
