I'm not sure how it would work in a 1988 Chevy 350. To be sure, call or visit the edelbrock website.

When cylinder 1 is at tdc, I put this on my SBC 350 with the cam dot at 6 o'clock and the crank at 12 o'clock. Everything was perfectly aligned, not a single tooth was out of place, and the timing was all wrong. It turns out that if you put it on that way, you'll have to rotate the engine until both the cam and the crank are at 12 o'clock. After that, you'll insert your distributor. It immediately began to run after that. If they had instructions that explained this, they could have saved a lot of time and effort. I was so irritated that I had to disassemble everything just to get it right.
I'm extremely disappointed! I assumed it was Edelbrock, so it was of high quality. Not so! According to the advertisement, there are three keyways. One has caught my attention. Unless on street legal chains, the package says three. What does a timing chain set have that is illegal? It says there are three markings for moving forward or backward. Are you able to spot them? A triangle and an oval are both shapes that can be found in nature. They are not visible to me. AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! Now I just need to get the offset bushings for my cam to be degreed.
Great chain with two rollers. Remember to double-check that the block and chain are both clear. So the chain wouldn't hit the block, I had to grind the block slightly at the top. On my SBC 350 from Mr. Goodwrench.
On a 1969 GMC 307 V8, it went in without a hitch. br>Clean metal, well-made, and likely to outlast the rest of the truck.
It appears to be of a high standard. Although I have not yet started the engine on which this set was installed, the installation went smoothly and the tolerances are very close.
br>Quality product, shipped quickly, and went on perfectly. br>The only disappointment was that it did not come with an Edelbrock sticker.
The one I put on this engine is tight, so I may have to replace it. It appears to be in excellent condition; I wish I had purchased it first.
