Questions & Answers

Is it possible to install it on a Jeep Wrangler from 1988?

Yes. That vehicle will be able to use it. The pressure rating on this cap is 13 psi.

This cap has a 13 psi rating, according to the description. When I first opened the package, it was stamped with 10 psi. Do I require a minimum of 12 psi?

My best advice to you is to go by what is stamped on the cap.br>If the cap says 10 lbs stamped on it, that is what the "opening pressure" is. It might be a good idea to let the seller know about the inconsistency.

Is this part compatible with a Ford tractor 3 cylander with a gas engine from 1968 to 1974?

The majority of them are for a specific type of vehicle. It was necessary for me to place an order for an 1989 Bronco 11. It might work with your app, but the only way to find out is to have one and test it out. (It's inexpensive, and it works great!)

The issue with overheating has been resolved
5/5

A small amount of corrosion on the top of the nipple was a telltale sign. If there's white crusty stuff around it, it's most likely leaking from the top, and replacing it with this new cap will solve the overheating problem.

At the top, it began to seep
3/5

This cap only lasted about 1,000 miles before it began to leak from the top. From the top of the radiator, a leak was coming down the left side. I assumed it was the overflow tube, which had been leaking for 30 years. I snipped a half-inch off the end and secured it with a hose clamp. There is still a leak. It turned out that the leak was caused by the new radiator cap I installed less than 1,000 miles ago. The original Ford cap was designed to last 30 years. This is not the case.

I'm not sure if the pressure is exactly 13 pounds per square inch, but it hasn't broken my radiator
5/5

It does exactly what it's supposed to do: it keeps the pressure in my radiator at 13 pounds before releasing it. I have an 88 Jeep Wrangler YJ 4 that I'm using it on.
