Derale 13700 Electra-Cool Remote Cooler,Black

This was purchased in order to build a crazy homebrew air compressor after cooler. It cost a little more than I wanted to pay, but the documentation stated a working/burst pressure that I could trust, and the fan could be switched from pusher to puller. The push/pull setup was a little confusing, so the instructions could be a little clearer. The 6AN fittings made the transition to compression fittings a little more complicated, but everything you need is here, especially if you don't have access to a speed shop that stocks AN fittings and adapters. If you're not using it in an automotive application, you'll need an external 12vdc power supply, and it claims to draw 5. 3 amps. I fused it for eight and used a small 100w/12A power supply, which was more than enough. Is it possible to exchange heat? The air temperature entering is over 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and the output is around 90 degrees Fahrenheit, so it DOES WORK.

I use this on my 2008 Silverado with heads cam and 4l80e swap and it keeps the trans way cooler than stock. My trans (4l60) would get to 235 pulling a 4500lb boat 60 miles now I can pull it the same distance and it's only gotten to 195 in 100 degree weather. I also do a lot of racing and it would be around the same temperatures after 10 passes.

This was purchased for use in a drag racing vehicle. This is the system's only cooler. The fan acts as a pusher and is mounted in the back of the truck. Maintains a comfortable temperature in the transmission. This unit is very well built and easy to wire, and I am very happy with it for the price. I would definitely buy it again.

This is a complete joke! It's mounted in front of my radiator for my power steering cooler, and it's so efficient that my radiator fans don't have to turn on nearly as often, despite the fact that the LS under the hood produces nearly 700 horsepower. I can't believe how much better my power steering fluid and coolant have become as a result of this. I made a simple bracket to fit my application and installed two - it was very simple. There are six AN lines. With a relay and an ignition power connection, wiring was simple. Excellent value for money.

With a th400, a zz454 is possible. When the trans overheated while towing a trailer for the first time, I replaced the "performance" trans cooler with this one, and the trans is much happier now. I also put in a 180° thermostat, which turned the fan on and off when it was supposed to. br>br>The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the instructions for wiring the fan relay differ from those for wiring the thermostat. Aside from the two contradictory instructions, cooler is a fantastic product. The brackets were cut to fit in the same spot where the other cooler was installed.

I installed this after losing a transmission due to a radiator failure in order to avoid another disaster and a $3,000 transmission rebuild. Some trans fluids must be heated by passing through the radiator, so check with your local trans shop to see if your truck or car qualifies forbr>installation on newer vehicles if you plan to bypass the radiator. This is a very sturdy and well-built product that I would install on any high-performance or off-road vehicle. a vehicle on the road without hesitation It's satisfying to come across well-made products of high quality. It's very nice, and the quality is excellent. It's possible that it's larger than you believe. All of the Derale products I've purchased have exceeded my expectations. It costs a little more, but it appears to be worthwhile.
