If you don't have the 1500HD, this should be the right kit for you.

In 1999, six GM 1500 trucks were introduced. Back ends used to be 8. Some of the trucks in the S series with the 8. Even after 1999, 6 continued to use the smaller differential bearings.
As long as you know it's a GM 8, this will work in your 2000 Chevy Tahoe. Rather than the GM 8, 6" Rearend was used. Drum brakes on a 6" Rearend. The pinion seal is, in fact, a circle. The ZK GM8 is a machine that has been designed by ZK. 6 and ZBKGM8 are two of the most commonly used abbreviations. The numbers 6 and 6 are the same. br>If you have any further questions, please contact me. Selected User Reviews For USA Standard Gear (ZBKGM8.6) Bearing Kit for GM 8.6 Differential
The kit is not what is pictured, so I gave it a low rating. There are no axle seals or pinion nut washers included in this kit. A flat washer is used with my pinion nut, which is a lock nut. A regular nut is included, but no lock washer is included. As a result, I'm going to have to use it again. However, the kits are not bad in general. The bearings are in good condition, and Koyo is a well-known brand. I recommend investing in a cross pin bolt because they are inexpensive and you don't want it to break if you need to get back in. It was a perfect fit for my GM 8. 6 has a nice back end.
625 This kit is listed to fit the rear differential of my 2003 S10 ZR2, which is an 8. The differential is 625". This is not the case. The ID and OD of the carrier bearings, as well as the ID of the Pinion seal, were both too large. Unfortunately, we did not realize this until after the inner and outer pinion bearings, as well as the crush sleeve, had been installed. I'm not happy that I paid more than $60 for this kit and still had to buy carrier bearings, races, and a pinion seal from my local parts store.
Everything you need for an overhaul is included in this great, low-cost OEM replacement kit.
Missing parts: I tried to reassemble the parts using shims that I hadn't seen before but couldn't find.
This is a fantastic installation kit for those on a tight budget. The KOYO bearings aren't quite as good as Timken, but they'll do for a budget kit. The shims included in the USA Standard kits are far superior to those included in other kits.
It was fantastic. exactly as stated.
This is excellent information.
The nut is a lock nut, and it fits my 2001 Suburban perfectly. On one of the flat spots, there is a stake mark. There are no shims or axle seals, so keep this in mind. Enjoy.
