If you're wondering if the Differential gasket has notches, the answer is yes. No. But I am 100% not sure what you are asking me. Alignment of the gasket has no bearing on this. You simply tap it into the rear differential, then insert your Pinion gear, crush washer, and torque it to specification. There are no notches in the gasket.
The crush sleeve is used if your kit is for a Chevy Duramax. There are no shims, but this is dependent on whether you have floating axles or not. There were no shims on mine because it was a floating axle.

I couldn't justify spending hundreds of dollars more on a kit that included the same bearings plus a few shims and bolts because the kit was a good value. Everything came together nicely, and I'd give it a 2 out of 5 stars. To remove the old bearings, use a jaw puller. If you're replacing the ring and pinion, new ring gear bolts are recommended because factory loctite is difficult to remove.
Very good quality. The packing was excellent. Bearings are well-protected and in good condition. Cleaning, lubrication, and installation were all performed lightly. This is an excellent product.

Pinning shims and ring gear bolts were presumed to be included. When replacing gears or bearings, they are almost a necessity.
