Questions & Answers

I have a hematite bracelet with a magnetic clasp on my wrist. Will this remove the rust from the clasp without causing any damage to the rest of the bracelet?

The M. specifies that the product only reacts to rust. According to the website I'd use a plastic bag or something similar to protect the rest of the bracelet. I'm not sure how the gel will react with Hematite, so protect it as much as possible. It's possible that simply replacing the clasp will suffice. They're simple to find and replace on the internet.

Will it take off a gun's bluing?

Yes, the bluing on a gun can be removed with this product.

Is it possible to use it with brass?

Metal Rescue is an anti-rust product. You may be aware that brass tarnishes and may corrode, but I'm not sure if Metal Rescue is designed to remove corrosion from brass. Your question should be directed to the manufacturer's website. It's possible that they'll have an answer in their Frequently Asked Questions section. Best wishes to you.

Will this work on a car with a chipped paint job? Even though the paint has been removed from the metal, there is some light rust present. ?

Yes, absolutely. It will help you with your rust problem. Simply cover the area where you apply the Metal Rescue gel with a piece of plastic wrap sheet that completely covers it to prevent the gel from drying out before it can remove the rust. Because your rust is currently very light, the gel should only take a half hour to an hour to completely remove the rust. Once the gel is removed, you must protect the bare metal area with a rust inhibitor or some touch-up paint. up paint. In fact, on my FR-S, I recently removed some light rust from the trunk hinge. A few months ago, I was with S. It removed the rust (which was in a difficult-to-reach area, but the plastic wrap easily formed around it and prevented the gel from drying out), and I applied some touch-up paint to the exposed metal. It's always better to fix rust problems when they first appear because the rust hasn't had enough time to etch deeply into the metal.

A fantastic item! I've used Metal Rescue's liquid rust remover and have had nothing but positive experiences with it; now, Metal Rescue has released a fantastic product to help remove rust from items that can't be submerged in their liquid rust remover
5/5

I've had great success using it on vertical surfaces as well as the bottom surface of my refrigerator door. The only thing you need to remember is to wrap a piece of plastic wrap around the area where you applied the gel. To keep the gel from drying out on the surface, I take the extra step of taping the edges of the plastic wrap. The product can then be easily removed. br>This is the best non-toxic rust removal gel. environmentally friendly and non-toxic.

Fortunately, I purchased it locally

Regardless of the negative feedback, Steel banisters are in the works. They had rusted to the point of being an eyesore after 19 years. We tried polishing them, but it was a waste of time, so I used this product for three days. I was left with nothing but raw steel after 5 hours. It was, to be honest, a little too raw. We were able to return it to "as new" condition after polishing it. br>br>This must not be allowed to dry. The labeling on the package is very straightforward. Remove it before it dries by covering it with plastic wrap. br>br>Our next-door neighbors wanted to sand their driveway. You'll be screwed if you do that because rust will form on a much larger surface area. br>br>The polish we used was: br>br>

I was unable to complete the task

My truck cab's roof has a rust spot on it. This was about the size of a dime, and I figured it would be useful. I was very careful to follow the instructions: Apply an eighth-inch layer of gel to the rust spot, wrap it in plastic wrap, and wait. br>br>Three treatments were used: The end result is extreme disappointment and a slightly lighter wallet after two hours, twenty-four hours, and forty-eight hours. This product had no effect on the rust, so I'd recommend passing on it and looking for another option.

Do not use this on anything of value! This stuff worked wonders on my rusted-out Saw Stop table saw

My Professional model, for those who are unaware, costs thousands of dollars. This garbage left spots where there had previously been minor rust, which I am unable to remove. The scars on the top seem to be permanent.

Removes rust while causing no damage to the vehicle's paint
5/5

This product was used on the hood hinge of my car, which had light to moderate rust. I was surprised that it had removed the majority of it by the 30 minute mark and had done so without causing any damage to the paint. I took it off and applied the final coat, which I planned to leave on for 24 hours. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone, even if they do not have a rust problem. At some point, all of this will be useful. Just make sure it's wrapped in plastic wrap (food wrap). ) Otherwise, it will dry out and become less effective. It's critical to catch the rust before it eats through all of your metal.

When the instructions are followed, it works well

This is an excellent product. If possible, be generous with the wrap; otherwise, you'll have to apply it multiple times. I've used pitted chrome, steel lugged bike frames, derailers, old rusted cold chisels, and wing dividers on pitted chrome, steel lugged bike frames, derailers, and old rusted cold chisels on pitted chrome, steel lugged bike frames, derailers, It has completely removed all rust, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, BUT BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!.

It magically removes rust from automobiles with no effort
5/5

Minor paint chips on my new car went unnoticed for a long time. After a year, it began to rust, and they sat there worrying about it for another two years. Every year, it gets worse. I don't want to sand and repaint because of a small chip. br>I came across this on project farm and thought it was worth checking out. For me, it was a huge hit. I wrapped it in suran wrap and rubbed it on with no effort. There is no longer any rust. br>br>I primed and painted the small chip, and it makes me feel so much better! It made me feel a lot better, to be honest.

However, it is not sufficient on its own
3/5

Although the product assisted in the removal of some rust, I am dealing with extremely rusted through metal. I tried it twice: the first time, I left it on for 24 hours, and it removed some of the mild rust; the second time, I left it on for over 48 hours, and it worked a little better, but I still had to use a dremel with a grinding stone to remove the heavier rust. Overall, it should work well for light rust, but heavier rust will require more effort.
