If you're not careful, this product will remove all of the paint.
It might work, but the disc would most likely become clogged. These are ideal for removing costings that will cause dust and will not accumulate in the machine.
the 9. I'm not sure what they're doing with the 40 price, as it's from Amazon. I'm going with 9 as a guess. You only get one wheel when you reach the age of forty.
Yes, but it's possible that aluminum won't be able to handle it. Take care.

With this thing, you could literally scrape a layer of the earth's crust. Use it with caution at first; don't just put it on and speed up the drill.
My trailer bumper is rusted through and through, but it has a useful drill attachment. I got rid of the rust. It's so simple to paint with a Dewalt drill. Much more effective than sandpaper. Sanding papers aren't cheap either. This, on the other hand, is incredible. To be honest, I really enjoy this product, and it lasts much longer than I anticipated. It had only half of its journey left. The metal became more lustrous as a result of it. To remove paint or rust, all you need is 3M and a little elbow grease. I will most likely purchase more. This is something I strongly suggest you do.
This works great for removing paint and light to medium surface rust, and unlike wire wheels, it doesn't gouge the underlying metal, leaving it relatively smooth. br>br>This is simply two wheels pressed together to make a wider wheel than the 3M 03171. br>br>To use this, you'll need a heavy-duty drill or a right-angle die grinder, which I don't have. Just be careful around sharp edges, or you'll lose a lot of the wheel, sometimes in small chunks, because it's aggressive; make sure the rotation is going OFF the edge, and you'll be fine. br>br>Excellent quality construction from 3M in the United States.
I purchased an off-the-shelf item that was in good condition. To finish the job, I bought a larger radial surface area one from the hardware store, and it finished this quarter panel as well as the entire other side, which had three times the amount of rust and still had material left on it.
I started restoring our 57-year-old wrought iron railing with paint stripper, and it was a MESS. Because I'm new to this, I'm not sure why the liquid paint stripper idea for at least three layers of paint didn't work out. However, when we found these, originally in Lowes (for more money), we decided to give them a try, and while they do wear down, they do not rust or lose their paint. It can be costly because they wear out after only a few hours of use. However, as the size of the wheel shrank, we were able to reach a lot of the scroll work thanks to careful planning. Much less messy than the liquid, and it takes care of surface rust that the liquid can't.
I received this item last night and was eager to give it a try. It does not function in the way that it is supposed to. If you have a small piece of metal to remove flaky paint from, this is the method to use. It may work, but expect to work on it for days, if not weeks.
This was used to remove a gasket from a Big Green Egg grill/smoker that had become worn out. It performed admirably, far superior to scraping. Its softer qualities helped protect the ceramic better than a wire brush or grinder. I only gave it four stars because it was filthy and worn down after that. It's ideal for one-time or gentle use, as well as small projects.
The product is literally strewn across my garage floor in the form of shavings.
