Questions & Answers

Does this product need to be painted over or is paint best applied over oil-based or latex paint. The sink is rusting so I'm looking to use it on a dive stand?

think mine is oil and it has the effect of wearing armor and stopping rust. A wire brush was used to brush the frame and paint I have recommended it to colleagues at work for use on our trucks as well since it never cracks or rusts

Can you tell me the difference between this and the black por 15? What is the effect of the same stop and protection?

Por15 has been sprayed with this top coat. Because Por 15 offers little UV protection, if you want to paint something that will be exposed to the sun, you will need to top coat it with Por 15.

The por 15 clear requires a top coat, is that right? Would you like to know what that would ?

All POR-coated surfaces should be topped off with a top coat These 15 rust preventative paints will keep your car from rusting. To top coat an automobile, you can use any automotive paint.

Some people say that 1 quart will fill a whole frame, and it spreads easily. Can you please tell me how much it will cost to do the frame on my single cab 95 Ford Ranger?

That should be the case. 2 coats of paint are required. The short bed of my 1976 Ford F100 is the only thing I have. It took me two hours to do the inside of the bed (Inside), including half way up the sides, as well as the entire front panel of the bed front and back, as well as the inside of the cab corners.

You should choose the smaller cans over the larger ones
4/5

It appears that a thin layer of the material has been peeled off, possibly because of poor preparation? Purchasing several cans of smaller sizes is HIGHLY recommended. There is a chance it will harden before you use 1/4 can unless you have a pretty large open area to paint. As soon as the can is reopened and the contents are retrieved In most cases, the seal remains on until the end. The paper's also easy to contaminate if moisture gets in. Sure you can wrap it with plastic wrap to potentially prevent it from sealing, but why take the chance? A two-coat system is usually needed because rust will reappearance with just one coat. No matter what paint you use, or what type of paint you use, surface preparation is extremely important. Using a mask is a must if you plan on spraying Getting this in your lungs is not a good idea. It can be removed from your skin if you act swiftly. If you do it right away, it will come off even with the usual paint cleaners. You may have to wait for seven days if you wait too long It is 10 days until you can come back. In my last attempt to open a can, I managed to destroy What was left over was dumped into a small plastic jug in preparation The contents of the container were hardened when opened later. Be careful not to repeat the same error. If you plan to use half a can, it will cost you a little more, but if you end up throwing it away, you will be fine.

It works better than it is advertised to do
5/5

It works better than it is advertised to do. My 1964 bronco received a new floor and bed around 2004 when I had tarpaulins laid down. All the years of heavy use the black coating remained shiny and free of rust. Due to the house fire on New Year's Eve (it was right next to the house), it was reduced to an empty shell. The bronco was pressure washed after cleaning all the debris out of it and checking if it could be salvaged. My finding was that the bed is still coating with por15 and now looking dull and dirty. Almost 15 years ago I coated the Broncos in the rust free paint so they are still good today. The paint burned off elsewhere and it is a rusty hulk now, but the parts are still good. The story of how well it works is an excellent one. Especially on rusty surfaces, you should coat the Bronco in It side. It really is more effective than paint. In spite of this, it sticks to humans even more than it does to things. As a result, wear something comfortable and cover your head to toe, and use good gloves. No matter how meticulous or careful you are, the matter will not be solved. SOME WAY IM GOING TO GET ON YOU, TRUTH BE TOLD! You wouldn't be able to cover up if you didn't! I love it!.

We offer the best corrosion protection
5/5

For god's sake, read the instructions and follow the can for god's sake. After experimenting with many other brands, POR 15 is by far the best. Please wear a real respirator with filters in it or risk inhaling isocyanides and hardening in your lungs, which will result in suffocation. It is imperative that there be a lot of ventilation. Please do not get any on your skin or clothing. Getting off of it is difficult. As a result, I buy cheap brushes that I discard after use. Add a certain amount to a container and use it. If any residue is left on the can and lid after wiping it clean, seal it right away. It has been reported that some users destroy the can when reopening it. The problem won't occur if all the dust is removed before the lid is closed. As a general rule, this product will stick to almost any clean surface and will stick in particular to rusty metal surfaces. the price of this product is over the top then check the price of any automotive clear coat by the quart. Materials may be expensive, but buy quality products once and do it right. Wishing you the best.

With POR15, you can do the right thing the first time
5/5

I would recommend it to anyone. I swear by this stuff. I had one quarter of fluid cover all 13 inches of floor in my sprinter. A 5 by 5 grid. The fabric is 5 feet wide and still has I gave the metal prep a good spray, then rinsed it This adhesive really sticks to rust, so make sure to scuff up all painted surfaces that are not.

Keep your hands warm! The pros are Cheap bristle brush is easily used to apply the product
5/5

A smooth finish is achieved. When it's set, there is no way for anything to get Using just one quart, I covered the entire underside of an 8'x6' truck bed and to the inside of the wheel tubs, and still have plenty left over for projects in the future. The cons are While applying it, you'll be exposed to POR- if you don't wear proper rubber gloves Within the next few weeks, we will be testing 15 students. Drips which make their way onto a concrete garage floor become part of the floor permanently once they are When using leftovers, put a few layers of plastic wrap on the top of the lid to help prevent bacteria from growing. Besides, if the lid is permanently attached to the can, then the lid will never come off.

Detailed image of the underbody of a Jeep Wrangler
5/5

This was perfect for my 2008 Jeep Wrangler, which was beginning to show signs of rust. The smallest can of this product is more than enough for coating the entire underside in just one coat. I only put one coat on (it goes on very thin) and I still have more than half admit that this will be the messiest project I have undertaken in a while. If you are concerned about your driveway, apply it on the sidewalk instead. In case you are concerned that this could stain your skin, I would advise wearing a full body suit and a In spite of the stains on my hands, I refused to wear gloves because I am a stubborn POS. Despite the fact that I did no prep work, the rust was covered Updates to this review will be made as soon as possible.
