I thought this would have been the right fitting for my 2005 Jeep Wrangler, but it was a straight thread instead of a pipe thread, so it would not have.

It is not compatible with the 2005 This part says it is for a 2005 Jeep Wrangler on Amazon and the manufacturer's website

The size of this part, however, is overly large. In response, I ordered a Dorman 800-700 I have the correct fitting for my Jeep Wrangler X 05. It was indicated on the Dorman and Amazon websites that the 800 number should have been used A total of 723 fittings. It is a good idea to buy the 800 It's time to tune up your Jeep Wrangler with the 619 fitting!.

I did not find it to fit my application as well as it should have. There was a problem with my original fitting. It had tapered threads, but these don't.
