If your ticking noise is caused by clogged oil orifices in hydraulic lifters, then yes, as this is an oil passage cleaner. Because it does not dangerously thin the oil like many competitor solvent products, you can leave it in the oil for the entire oci. It should be able to clean everything up in a single oci. If the noise doesn't go away, it's not due to clogged orifices, and I'd use a friction reducer like their MOS2 product after the next oil change.
It's suitable for any engine.
It shouldn't harm or help leaky seals; I use it in my 2002 Buick Century with 185k miles, which has a small leak around the seals as well. There was neither an increase nor a decrease in leakage. It does, however, assist with a sticky ticking lifter 95 % of the time. Every now and then it will tick on a cold engine start up. Every time I change the oil or the filter in my Pennzoil Platinum 5w/30, I use it. I don't overfill; instead, I subtract the amount of lifter from the oil. Best of luck!

I recently installed a new hemi in my truck after the mechanic I took it to set the timing incorrectly and it blew up on the way home after he changed the cam and lifters due to hemi tick. The mechanic was one of those unlicensed Craigslist mechanics, but the motor was beyond repair, so I bought a new one and am using Liquid Moly to keep the hemi tick at bay. Every time I get my oil changed, I use it. The motor, like all of them, ticks for a few seconds. The computer then shuts down and resumes normal operation. I'm not going to see that mechanic anymore.
I'm not usually a fan of supplements, but this one worked for me. I drove for about an hour after getting the engine up to operating temperature and adding the liquid moly. I wasn't paying much attention to engine noise until it occurred to me that there was no lifter tap. It's been in the jeep for more than a month and is still going strong. I am blown away. Great product; I bought two of them just in case it worked and I could use them after the oil change.
One day, the lifter ticking in my E class got really bad. I change my oil every 3000 miles on a regular basis, so this caught me off guard. People who had used this product to stop the ticking had posted about it in the MB forums. I was skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a shot. The ticking had stopped after a thousand miles, so I changed my oil and added it to my oil change log, which I will do at every oil change from now on.
I tried a number of different aftermarket products, but none of them worked. The oil was changed, and the moly was added. The tick is no longer as active. I haven not driven it as much as I would like to believe that the tick will go away 100%.
In my 98 Z71 truck with 226,000 miles on it, it worked remarkably quickly. The clicking lifter could not be heard after one container and a few miles, which was impressive. The next morning, I started the truck and could barely hear this high-mileage motor. Wow!.
br>Drove for a few hundred miles. No help. I was all set to disassemble the engine and swap out the lifter. br>br>After adding Seafoam, the lifter began to function normally once more. br>br>Real-world example: Use synthetic oil and don't leave it in for more than 5 minutes. 6K miles. Oil changes that lasted a long time were ineffective for me. It could have cost a lot of money.
5L V6. My Toyota is number three. At 80,000 miles, the 5L V6 engine began to make a loud ticking noise. The noise level remained after I performed an oil flush. I used the Liqui Moly lifter additive and the noise is now at a minimum for the first couple of miles before becoming quiet. This is a significant upgrade.
It's been 6 months since I put the additive in the car, and it still sounds fine, though on rare occasions you can hear some tapping. I'm not sure how it works, but the results are satisfactory to me. Every time you change the oil, make sure to include this.
