Its purpose is to either enhance pressure issues with machines experiencing hydraulic pressure issues (worn pumps, or other low pressure issues), or to help reduce or possibly eliminate fluid loss issues encountered when used in a higher hydraulic fluid to Booster/ Stop Leak ratio. It is NOT designed in any way to deal with 303 fluid problems!
Depending on desired results, the manufacturer recommends a ratio of 2010 to 20 treatment product to hydraulic capacity. The additive is used to improve hydraulic pressures, while the additive is used to control leakage!
It all depends on the end result you want to achieve. This product is designed to either increase hydraulic pressure (to a lesser degree) or reduce fluid loss (to a greater degree). In any case, I've had good results with it on my John Deere tractor with the powershift transmission.

The cylinders on the loader were all leaking heavily. I also had a problem with my loader folding over to the dump position when I started pushing it if I put too much of an angle on it. I don't believe the visible external leaks were the cause; instead, the fluid was returning because of the bypass in the cylinder or my spool valve. br>br>My tractor holds 13 gallons of fluid, and I put 3 gallons of Lucas in it, minus a small amount I put in the power steering. My leaks have significantly decreased, though some remain. The problem of the bucket collapsing was completely solved. Before the bucket folds, I've lost all traction. I wouldn't call it a complete miracle, but it has made a significant difference. My only concern is that if it leaks out and I replace it with new hydraulic fluid, my problems will resurface as the fluid thins out. Only time will tell, but if I have to keep adding Lucas, it might get expensive. br>br>For his small John Deere with loader, my father also bought a gallon of this. It was a relatively new tractor, but it had already developed some leaks, which the Lucas completely stopped.
This is something you absolutely must have in your tank! It's incredible what they've done with this. We operate semi trucks with wet kits, and there is always a leak somewhere. A truck has a large number of seals. This stuff helps seals fluff up, prolonging their life and preventing fluid loss. This is a fantastic product, and Lucas is one of my favorites.
Fix the hydraulic issue.
It's what we use in tractors because it can withstand a lot of abuse.

There is no better way to stop an oil leak than to use the best oil stop leak available. It's what we use in our older dump trucks and excavators. The cylinder's slow leaks have been stopped. It won't stop large leaks, but it will help with small seal leaks.
