Questions & Answers

Is this a set of two or a single piece?

A pair

Is it a slip-on or a strap-on style? Is it possible to put them on and take them off without having to take off my boots?

They have a strap around their waist. Place over the knee/shin and secure by wrapping the strap around the back of the knee/leg. There is no need to take off your boots. The level of excellence is outstanding.

Is it possible to ride them on the street?

I wear them on the street, but they are worn over my riding pants. They were purchased because I am concerned that my knee armor will not stay in place in the event of an accident.

"All of these have sizing charts and are good," it says. Where is the sizing chart, then?

The sizing chart is labeled as b. I'm 5'7" and ordered the large xlargs, which are very comfortable. They have a small size.

Comfortable, safe, and adaptable are three words that come to mind when thinking of this product
5/5

This is appealing to me because it provides coverage while also providing comfort and fall protection. That means if I fall, I'm confident these won't slide over like a smaller, different brand pair did. br>br>I ride an electric unicycle and find that wearing these gives me more confidence.

Kneeling at its best For the purpose of EUC Riding
5/5

These are the ones I use for EUC Riding. In the summer, I pair them with shorts, but in the winter, I layer them over a pair of pants. br>br>I wore these on a recent ride but did not remove my motorcycle pants' internal knee pads, so these guards moved around. When the internal knee pads are removed, the problem is no longer an issue. br>br>The best thing about these guards is that they start with your knees' comfort and build from there. The hinge is ideal for both movement and protection, and there are sizes available for people with large thighs, such as myself. I have a problem with almost all leg-related items. related. br>br>Even when the straps are snapped on, the straps are easy to adjust so you can match them to your pants. I find that if I tighten the middle strap snugly on the tighter side above my calves (my friends call them cows) and the other two straps snug but not too tight, it stays in place the best. br>br>They are the most comfortable guards I've worn, and I sometimes forget they're there. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it's well worth it!.

In a matter of days, it broke
3/5

When I was removing my gear after the first five uses, one of the plastic quick snaps broke off. br>br>If a gentle push from my fingers can snap the straps, I have no faith that these knee pads will protect me in the event of a crash! br>br>Which raises the question, "why didn't they use steel studs instead of plastic?" "br>br>They are extremely comfortable, and the knee joint functions flawlessly. However, mild pressure will cause the straps to snap. This is a poor product. br>br>For a $100 item, I expected better quality. br>br>I'm going to return them and get a refund.

a great deal of safety! Some people are dissatisfied with the fact that they are being pushed down
4/5

That is something I can see happening, and you may need to make some adjustments. However, once they're inside your boots, they won't move. What I like best about them is that they provide ample protection from all sides. I ride over sharp rocks on a regular basis, and if you fall, you can get hit in the knee from all sides. In that regard, this provides a great deal of protection. There are no gaps in which you will not be protected all the way around your knee. They're also extremely sturdy. They don't appear to brake in a crash. br>Of course, they don't provide much "torsion" protection, but they provide excellent knee coverage from all angles, which is exactly what I need. br>My knees are better protected than my ankles (I need to change my boots: ))br>Wishing you all the best! br>Have fun while staying safe!.

It was well worth the money
5/5

I bought this because I commute on an electric unicycle. The kneepads' attachment points are simple to attach and remove. Because the pads bend, they are extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. In terms of protection, I had a minor fall and they kept my knee from getting scraped. The money was well spent.

For your knees, this is an excellent purchase
5/5

I was worried that this pair would be too big, but despite a misleading picture I saw online, I was able to wear it under my snug / stretchy pants. br>br>It's almost unnoticeable, the comfort level is excellent, walking and kneeling are not hampered in any way, and the straps are well placed to keep the pads in place while on the ride.

It was a good fit
5/5

With my white helmet and jacket, people often mistake me for a stormtrooper. Because of the reviews, I decided not to try a smaller size. Fits well, a little loose around the thigh, but calves are perfect for everything in the smallest setting. I appreciate how simple it is to remove them. They snap on with three pulls, followed by three pushes. They're off with a couple of pulls. As the jacket I'm wearing ended up being left-over, this is probably the easiest part of the armor I wear to put on and take off. The gloves are a little thick to put on and have to be zipped up by hand. Helmet is also quite snug. I usually forget I'm wearing these pads, while the rest of my outfit is still visible. br>br>Are you looking for something that will last? I haven't yet fallen, and I have no intention of doing so. However, in San Francisco, you never know what will happen when a car pulls out. It appears to be almost new. br>br>For the record, I'm riding an electric scooter that can go as fast as my age, so I'd like to be protected if I fall.

That's exactly what I needed! This review is a little premature because I have yet to go on a long ride with them, but so far they have performed admirably
5/5

br>br>On all rides, including commuting, I prefer to ride with some form of protection. Off-the-beaten path is what I prefer. Riding a big adventure bike on the road, I've discovered that it's not a question of if, but when you'll fall off. So far, there have been no problems on the road, but I've seen a lot of things on my rides that make me want to be cautious. br>br>I was looking for a replacement for my Klim Jeans for daily commuting when I made this purchase. Nothing against those jeans; they're nice, but they're pricey, warm, and required some tailoring to fit me properly. After only a few years, the ones I have are also starting to break down. As a result, I went on the hunt for something I could wear over my regular jeans and get on and off quickly. These are fantastic for this! br>br> These are easy to adjust and move around. On my advanced rides, I'm going to use this instead of the Forcefield sock armor I've been using.
