Selected User Reviews For Matte Black Gas Tank Side Cover Panel Fairing For 2006 2007 Yamaha YZF R6
It took some wiggling and an extra pair of hands to keep it in place while I screwed it in, but it worked. On my 2007 R6, I replaced the broken OEM plastics, and it doesn't look any different than stock. Install it by first placing it on the front side, then sliding your hand along it towards the back until it snaps into all of the plastic slots, then screeding in the screws with the washer while holding it tight. Because it's in a low-temperature environment, you won't need to replace the heat guards. You can, however, if you want to, heat up the area.

They have the same appearance as the original set. The bumps could use a little more definition. br>The only drawback was that it was a very, very tight fit. I was on the verge of not being able to put one of them on. It appears that the hole in the back has been reduced by about a quarter. They do, however, look fantastic once they are on.
This is a great alternative to the stock pieces.
Simply use OEM parts.
It fit perfectly and there was no need for any custom work.
It arrived sooner than anticipated, looks fantastic, and is simple to stall.
