It's made of a silvery plastic.
They are going to work out.
What kind of hole are you talking about? I use a rope that is 3/8" in diameter.
They were attached to the boat bumpers and used on our pontoon. I'm not sure if they float, but if the fender hangar is attached to the bumper, it should.

I looked up what size rope I'd need for them and went out and bought four new fenders in that size. I had no trouble clipping them to my railing. When I needed to, I slid them behind the couches after first putting them on the railing. It's a tight fit, but it's functional. I have three fenders at dock level on one side of the pontoon. There's a lot of wave action because we're on a long, windy lake. I'm in the middle of the summer, and they've been fantastic. I've made adjustments with my teeth and found them to be very useful. Customer is overjoyed.
On our pontoon boat, these are perfect for me. br>In the fender line, I cut and tied a knot so that the fender is just above the water, beside the toon, when the line is just hanging by the knot. br> The snap should be securely attached to the tube rail, and anyone assisting you should have no trouble quickly adjusting and locking the line so that the fender is in the proper position.
These are made of plastic and were broken when the boat bumpers were pushed up against the dock by a wave. I repurchased them because they are useful and functional; however, if the waters are rough when docked, you should exercise caution.
These were purchased for my pontoon, and they make deploying my bumpers a breeze.
I was surprised by how much I got. I was initially concerned because these were made of plastic. I'm pleased with them now that I have them because the plastic is very sturdy. Also, I expected something small that I'd have to fiddle with, but these are large and will do the job. The purchase was a great success.
These methods are effective. It's incredibly simple to adjust the height of your bumpers, and they do a fantastic job of keeping the rope in place. To keep your height, you don't need to tie off. Only to keep the loose end out of the way, I tie it off.
It worked great on my pontoon boat, but make sure you get the thicker rope or the teeth on the stays will not be caught. That worked for me once I got it down.
These will work with our pontoon rail. One thing to note is that they will not work if your seats are too close to the rail.
