Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use it to coat car battery posts and terminals before connecting them (and, of course, afterward)? )to keep the metal from corroding?

Yes. Corrosion is prevented by this method. Water- The moisture-resistant synthetic formulation repels water and does not wash away. NOTE: It doesn't conduct electricity at all.

What is the size of your tip? Is it possible to cram it into the connector right away?

Yes. 1/8 inch is the size of the tip.

Is this just dielectric grease, or is there more to it? , non- To keep electrical contacts from corroding, do you use conductive grease?

Yes. That was the approach I took.

Is it possible to apply this directly to the mating surfaces, such as pins and sockets?

This way, I apply a dab to both male and female ends, which gives a good coating, and then wipe clean and reapply as needed. It's been working well for me.

The description is deceptive
3/5

Because the description stated "very high load carrying ability," I bought it to add conductivity to some wire connections. Only after I had paid for it did I discover that dielectric grease does not carry any electrical load. It's not expensive enough to return, so congrats on getting my money through your deceptive description.

Electrical Connections are a must-have for you
5/5

Because our local auto parts store was closed, we had to order it from Amazon. It was a reasonable price. This is a must-have for any exposed connections on your boat, camper, or utility trailer. It lubricates the connectors and has no effect on connectivity. There will be no more corroding trailer plugs or tow vehicle pins. When your connectors lose their lubrication, use as directed and as much as needed. I've used it to tow our camper, boat, and snowmobile trailers. Because the tube is so large, my previous one lasted for years, even when I only used it on family and friends.

Grease for electrical contacts
5/5

I was in desperate need of this; have rusted garage outlets that make plugging in difficult; This electrically conductive grease was used to lubricate the plugs, making insertion much easier. Apply a small dab to the contacts of garden tool battery rechargers, and the batteries will now slip into place without the need for excessive force.

The ability to conduct electricity and the ability to keep moisture out
4/5

So far, it appears to be working well. I'm attempting to prevent corrosion of electrical contacts caused by moisture. If it functions as intended, only time will tell. NOTE: The product that was delivered was the same weight, but in a completely different package (not the one shown in the picture). So far, it's been even more successful!.

Now I have more faith in all of my connections
5/5

On my pickup and my wife's car, I put this grease in every single electrical connection I could find. I'm more confident now, and I'm not going to lose touch with any of those connections. And now that they're lubricated, they won't corrode. Nothing has gone wrong with this purchase so far, so I believe it will be a good investment in your vehicle's electrical system. It has no chance of harming it in any way.
