This is intended to keep electrical connections safe from the elements. I'm not sure if it would be good for the brake slides because it would prevent corrosion and poor contact.

It's one thing to use on electrical connections with voltages of 12 volts or less flowing through them, but it's quite another to use on electrical systems with voltages ranging from 60 kilovolts to 100 kilovolts. They are being subjected to a voltage of 100 kilovolts (kV This grease has a high affinity for absorbing moisture, making it ideal for preventing corrosion in low-voltage connections. As a result, it has a tendency to ASSIST high voltages in tracking along its film surface to ground (which isn't ideal for preventing misfires). This was purchased to protect my truck's battery terminals after they had been cleaned. I've also used it on other electrical connectors in automobiles. This is very high-quality material. It works great, has a nice consistency, and holds up well. I used it on an electric scooter that spends a little more time outside than it should, and all the connectors are as good as new with this on them.
It prevents the rubber from hardening and renews it.
