In addition to a tail bag to store small extras and necessities, it is one of the most important accessories. A simplistic piece that was rugged 'enough' but not too pricey was what I was looking for. There was no doubt that this bag fulfilled all of those criteria. Besides beverages, I keep tools, a first aid kit, action cameras, auxiliary power banks, cables, etc. It's compressed when not in use. There's a lot of capacity, and more could be added if/when it were to be expanded. I would like to have access to more backup equipment for cold weather riding going into winter. The one I got seems to be perfect in terms of craftsmanship, design, and useability. After a few months of use, it shows no signs of wear, and it functions at the same level as it did when it was During the day, my helmet is mounted to the bike 24/7 but when outside the bike gets hidden under the cover. However, the bags' waterproofness isn't exactly something I can vouch for. This is what I am going to While I have slammed into some deep puddles, creeks, and have been caught in heavy rains, I have not experienced any issues with water. Since the zippers are designed to meet a price-point, it can't be considered Zippers that are actually waterproof A company like YKK would make this product Many of these bags feature better materials, moisture-resistant tapes, etc. So, even if the material of this one stands up to water, the zippers will be the weakest point. There is no telling what will happen. In order to lock, click on the Lock button below. To secure the two zipper tabs together, they each have a small hole at the end. In order to prevent tampering/theft, the smaller the lock is, the better it will keep closed or closed. My solution is to use a small 'luggage cable lock' that is FAA approved and run the cable through Although it still allows the zippers to spread apart a little bit, it can be adjusted. [Those 3 dial cable locks are cheap and pretty nice too]
There's also a strap towards the back that once the lock is secured, it can be tucked in between the strap and the bag so that it won't be visible or dangling. A third advantage is its convenience. The cons are? To my knowledge, I still haven't come across any. The 'universal' setup worked easily and well on my bike [ManRack rear rack], and I would buy it again. *Photo included to show the profile of my bike with the bag on the back** Will I buy one again? Without a doubt! What is my opinion of their services? Yes, you sure can!.
The bag I have on the back of my motorcycle needs to ensure that my belongings are secure I can't trust that the bag will open on the road and fling my stuff everywhere. There was a zipper failure on this within only about 5 uses, and the bag wasn't full enough to warrant it. Due to lack of space, I can't back up the zipper far enough to secure it completely, so now it easily pops open even after minimal There's no way I can trust that, so I'm throwing this bag away. It would have been better if the cheap price had been a warning sign. This one is not worth the time.
One outside Velcro pocket was found with watermarks. The inside of the backpack has 3 tight pockets and 1 zipper A full-size bed can be easily fit in this Adult helmet with some wiggle room (a few inches). I haven't tried it in the rain yet, but its inside is lined with water-resistant material, and it also comes with a waterproof cover. I should be able to use it successfully, even in the rain.
A tail bag like this does not go wrong In any case, there are a few things you should know. The bag holds its shape quite well, but the expansion feature is not accessed by a zipper release. Instead, the tension is relieved on compression straps, allowing the bag to expand. As the mounting straps are not very sturdy, they are linked in an H pattern, so I cut them apart for increased mounting options, but they could easily be replaced for less than $10 with straps available here at Amazon. These backpack straps are decent enough to be used occasionally. Made of vinyl-coated webbing and bordered by fabric, they're decent for occasional use. It is hard to find a better built bag at this price, but look around on Amazon as different sellers have it at different prices, don't be confused by the bag that looks like it, which does not have the top criss cross cord.
This bag was cheap to the extent that I expected it to be, and I wasn't disappointed after my purchase. wanted something that would replace the need for a backpack and would allow me to take it off and put it back on easily. . . It's installed on my bike, which I use as a commuter. Thus far, I've only used it a few times, but it seems to do what I need it to do. Although I wish the straps and hardware were a bit stronger, this is a very small complaint. When you pay for something, you are getting what you paid Probably the biggest question for me will be durability, but if I am able to use it for 2 seasons then I will be satisfied. There is no way to tell until the time comes. There is one thing about it's design that I would revise, and that would be the location of the top handle In bags with no zippers, the handle or the area where the zipper doesn't reside should be turned around so that the zipper itself is not burdened with the pressure imposed by the items inside.
It's very convenient that it can be used either as a backpack or to strap it to the back seat. I noted that the zippers held up even when I filled it up to its maximum capacity. It rained a few times while I was on the road, but none of my belongings were wet despite not having the rain proof bag. In general, the bag is a really good one for its price point.
It is easy to mount and is tight against the luggage rack. The zippers appear to be strong, and for $35, i can't think of a reason not to buy one.
