Questions & Answers
No, it is not going to happen. It's designed for JK 2007 and newer models. That's not the same kind of light.
I couldn't get the screws provided to work, so I used the screws from the tail light, which worked fine. I believe they could be used under the brush guards, but longer screws may be required. The screws that came with it were incorrectly sized.
I'm fairly certain they'll fit, but I can't guarantee it. They were designed to work with all previous models. pre CK

There are a couple of minor niggles. This gives the taillights a nice look while also providing some protection if you go off the beaten path. br>br>The plate is made of heavy gauge metal and is well constructed. It has a neat and tidy appearance. There are no splinters. (Unlike the photo, there is no white showing through the upper star portion. ) However, this is only true for my Jeep; other Jeeps may behave differently). Install time is only 5 minutes. br>br>For a couple minor quibbles, I'm deducting one star:br>1. There are no rules. It's not difficult for me to understand, particularly for Jeep enthusiasts. However, it would have been nice if something had been done. br>2. The screws are the wrong size and aren't compatible with my 2016 Jeep Wrangler. I simply reused the OEM screws, so it wasn't a big deal. Even with the spacer and plate, it's still quite tight. Note that each light on my Jeep has two screws of different sizes.
3. The white spaces used to protect the plastic lens should be replaced with black to match the metal cut out. No, you won't be able to see them from behind, but you will be able to see them from the sides. They're also clearly made of cheap, crappy plastic because they're white. You would have assumed they were part of the metal if they had just been painted black. They appear out of place even with a white jeep. I'll go to the hardware store and see if I can find some black ones or if these can be painted.
Returned. I had a set of these that had rusted out and appeared to be in poor condition. When I received my order, there was no hardware in the box. I had my old hardware, so it wasn't a big deal. br>I was about to install them when I realized the reverse light opening (large rectangle) was actually a square. The reverse light opening is now taller and shows 1/2" of the brake light, indicating that the design has been changed. br>If you look at the user photos, you'll notice that some are square and larger (showing the red brake light), while others are rectangular and don't show the read from the brake light. I couldn't unsee it after seeing it, so I'm going back.
It's a beautiful design. These covers have received the most compliments out of all the money I've put into my Jeep. They're thick and heavy, and they appear to be of good quality. However, by the second day, the screws that were provided had rusted. Rusting can be seen on all eight of them. I've painted them twice since then, and the rust is slowly but steadily gaining the upper hand. Because I knew the screws would rust, I bought a pair for a friend and only hand tightened them. Her screws rusted almost as quickly as hers did. When the screws are removed, the covers become 5 stars all day. Unfortunately, these will not work with the factory screws. If you buy these, make sure to paint the ends of the screws with anti-rust paint after they've been installed.
On the original taillights, these look AMAZING. However, on aftermarket LED lights with a black background, it's difficult to tell it's a star pattern. It's not the light cover's fault in the least, but these look best on factory tail lenses because they were designed specifically for them. The coating appears to be stout and tough, as well as being rock solid. I am ecstatic.
These are made of metal and are less expensive than those made of plastic. They appear to be powder coated and are a flat black black color. They include extra screws and a spacer that fits between the plate and your light lenses to prevent scratching. br>I'm a huge fan of them.
They're fantastic. Everything I've received from Hooke has been excellent, including the quick and helpful customer service. I strongly suggest it.
They come with longer screws, but I discovered that they were the wrong thread and diameter for what I needed, so I just used the ones from the taillight. It's simple to put together and gives off a clean appearance.
The quality is excellent, and the weight is ideal. Simple to assemble, only a few screws are required, and you're ready to go. In addition, it appears to be in excellent condition.
