It's a simple installation that's very forgiving if you misalign it, peel it back, and re-install it. apply. Because the microfiber has lint on it, wash it or use one you already own. Overall, I'm blown away.
Nice.
Even though it appears simple, I watched some YouTube videos to ensure I did it correctly. There's no such thing as being too cautious, so there's no need to stock up in case you make a mistake! br>br>On the two outside lights, I recommend starting from the farthest outside corner and working your way in, lining it up as is. If done correctly, you may have a small overlap in the trunk, so make sure your trunk is open! br>Next, install the two interiors, starting from the farthest point away from the trunk and working your way inward toward the trunk; if done incorrectly, there may be overlap. That's fine; just watch a YouTube video about these particular ones! br>Water is not required. I got it right the first time because I didn't rush and took my time! No water, and it's been in for months with no problems; I've even taken it through the car wash several times. There are no problems!br>I hope this helps! 👍🏻.
I got two of the driver side cut outs and one of the passenger side cut outs for some reason, which is a good idea if you mess up and can't use one piece again, but I didn't get a spare passenger side. No complaints so far, I've been driving around town with cops following me and haven't been pulled over, so I'm guessing the light shines through fine.
This is a picture of my 2019 Dodge Daytona Charger. The instructions were clear and simple to follow, making installation a breeze. My only advice is to either wash the microfiber towel that came with it first or use your own bc of lint.
This rear light tint looked great on my 2016 Dodge Charger Rallye edition (SXT). br>br>They were simple to install; I did have a couple of small air bubbles after sticking them on, but they quickly disappeared after I applied heat; I used a blow dryer on high (obviously) to set it because I didn't have a heat gun. br>br>It includes a microfiber cloth, a squeegee, and an extra set in case you make a mistake.
I would advise anyone to install from the outside to the trunk, and from the trunk to the side of the car for the ones on the trunk. You'll find that a heat gun comes in handy. I did it without a heat gun for the first time and it came out perfectly, so I would assume that anyone using a heat gun would have fewer chances of making a mistake, especially since if you do heat it up (as seen in videos), you can peel it off a couple of more times to reposition it if you make a mistake. Finally, do not begin installing without first thoroughly cleaning the area, and if you have a claybar, alcohol, or goo gone, use it after the wash to ensure a much better adhesive bond. Finally, I installed my car at night, and the next day when it became extremely hot, I assisted myself with the heat of the sun because I did not have a heat gun.
Dodge uses LED bulbs in the taillights, so the brightness of the back up lights and brake lights isn't affected too much, and the adhesive used on these overlays is pretty damn strong; I haven't experienced any peeling or anything like that. Overall, I believe this is a high-quality product, and it is my first choice for tinting the taillights of my Charger!.
