Nilight - TL-12 Spare Tire Brake Light Wheel Light 3rd Third Brake Light for Wrangler 2007-2018 JK JKU YJ TJ, Red Light

  When this first arrived, I was a little enraged. When I first opened the box, I noticed a black plastic ring with two wires protruding from it. There was no adapter, no plug, and no manual. F that, I said, and pressed the return key. br>br>Once I was a little more relaxed, I pulled out my tools, sliced up some wires, crimped, taped, and tucked. The system has been set up. I'm happy, even if it's not as bright as I had hoped.

Everything is in perfect working order. The only error I made during installation was failing to notice a dark spot on the back where the wires connect. I should have positioned that spot so that it was hidden behind a rim area. I've been meaning to do this for a while but haven't gotten around to it. It can be seen at the 1: On the attached photo, the 00 position is shown.

Behind a 17" AEV Pintler wheel, I mounted this spare tire brake light. It looks fantastic. The unit appears to be well-made, with a hard plastic exterior and a rigid construction. The LEDs are protected by a tinted plastic cover, which makes them slightly darker but still acceptable. I wouldn't change it because it gives the wheel a very clean appearance when viewed through it. A grommet on the back allows the wires to exit. The wires are quite long, even though I didn't require them. br>br>The size of the unit takes up the majority of the interior space of the 17-inch wheel. The only issue I had was that my 37" tire required the Teraflex hinged tire carrier to be set to its highest position, causing the bottom of the carrier's mount to collide with the back of the unit. (The leds and wiring are housed in a bump around the edge of the unit's back. ) As a result, my unit does not sit flush against the carrier mount. I suggest using a push-button for any application. When the tire is removed, the unit is held in place by a fastener (also known as starlock). I'd buy it again. br>br>.

I got it for Christmas and didn't get around to installing it until March when the weather warmed up. It looked great and got a lot of compliments, but half of it broke down in June. My Jeep's lights are all Nilight, so I figured I'd stick with them. Maybe it's just a fluke, but with only half of my lights working, I'd advise you to keep looking. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> Because of the excellent customer service I received when I contacted them about this problem, I have changed my rating to four stars. They quickly resolved the problem; however, I did not give them five stars because it did malfunction after a short period of time.

To fit a 2021, I had to make the entire thing bigger. So many changes to the light itself, which previously stated that it would fit a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon! Then there was the little free ring with bling that was supposed to fit on maybe the starter or something like that, but it didn't fit anything in 2021, so it was a waste of resources! There were no instructions at all, either.

I was looking forward to installing this product because of the positive reviews, but it did not fit my 2019 Sahara Jeep because it has a backup camera and the mount is not a circle. When I bought this product, I set my AMAZON information to the specifications of the 2019 JEEP Sahara, and it said that this model was compatible with my JEEP. I'll be happy to write another review if you come up with a model that matches my model.

This is for my Jeep Wrangler TJ, which was manufactured in 2004. It works, but there are a few things I don't like: the lights have a waterproofing cover, but the material is too darkly tinted. These lights are bright so that the driver behind you can see them. It's pointless to tint a brake light to make it look cool if the lighting becomes less effective as a result. Because I have a rear spare tire carrier bumper, the wire was too short for my Jeep TJ application, so I had to extend it a few feet. So the spare tire doesn't open at the same time as the tailgate; I wish it came with more wiring than you need, and you could just cut off what you don't need, or wrap the spare wire around something.

I had my reservations about this plastic disk. However, it was simple to install, requiring only two wires to connect to my Jeep's existing third brake light, and is held in place by the spare tire, and it appears to be as tough as any other piece of plastic on the vehicle. It adds a nice touch of style as well as additional safety because the brake lights are extremely bright.
