I could not be happier with the I like how this visor feels and looks better than the original visor that came with my 2008 The only thing you need to unlatch the plastic cover is a plastic prying tool. Remove the plastic cover but do not remove the plastic. It is enough to unseat it enough so that the metal clips can be loosened. Once you have a new visor, gently pull out the old one. There may be metal clips left behind after you remove the old visor. The old visor was held in place with metal clips made of zinc alloy. Remove these clips with pliers. You must take care that they do not A metal clip was included with this item. You will need to loosen the metal clips before you install the new visor. This can be done by loosening the small plastic cover. Push the small plastic cover on top of the clips in place after inserting into the roof. A screw is not involved in this process. It was just installed yesterday in my 2011 Toyota Camry SE with a sunroof. came without instructions or anything, so I watched a few brief videos on youtube to get it up and running. In the hole left in the roof when you remove the original sun visor, you will find two black metal clips. Those need to be pulled out and saved! Despite spending about 30 minutes on the new sun visor, I could not install it with the black metal clips that came with it. It never seemed to work to lock in the plastic cover plate and there was something about the aftermarket clips I didn't like. As a last resort I decided to install the new visor with the original OEM black metal clips instead and it worked perfectly with no frustration whatsoever.
I was able to turn on the light before I secured the second holding latch. But the metal clip holding the extra cover is a little different in design than the original. Once I connected the second cover, I felt something snap, and the light doesn't work anymore. The installation snapped during the process, so I decided not to pull it apart again to investigate. However, the rest of the product seems to be of good quality, and the color of the product was perfect.
I bought a sun visor for the third time and fitted it to my car. The clips were lost on the other two products. I had gained some experience through my two successful previous failures, so I thought this would be an easier one. I really like how this looks and works. On the mirror, too, there is a light. This product has saved me a lot of money. I'm very happy with it. It would have been great if the product had come with some instructions and hints, but there are several videos on YouTube for installing the item.
