I got this unit yesterday, it was well packaged. In the vicinity of the safe is some foul stuff. Unlocked the instructions and inserted the AAA batteries after unlocking with the barrel key. Programed the new code after inserting the AAA batteries. Everything went according to plan. A subcompact and a full frame pistol fit nicely inside, no issues. The only problem is that the keypad makes loud beeping noises when you press it, but luckily you can turn them The unit's door opens quickly, and its keypad is responsive. The bottom of the unit has keyholes, which makes it easier to mount it on the floor or to secure it to a piece of furniture. The safe slides around a lot when the door is closed, which I want to fix somehow. I have not decided if I am going to mount it anywhere or if I want to attach it to anything. The bottom of the dresser would not hold up well on its own, so I may affix some grippy stick on feet to it. My wife would not be impressed if I mounted it on the dresser.

I have researched both online and in stores and this is the best in class in terms of CA With one of the fastest doors in the world, it is extremely heavy duty. There is a light inside and I appreciate the fact that it installs easily in the closet. It also has a removable shelf and uses readily available batteries, unlike some others.

It appeared to be built well but it wasn't. My contact with the seller revealed that I do indeed have a broken item. We received the safe 30 seconds after it was shipped, and it was defective! Do not order from Wholesale Hunter or buy this safe if you want a safe with a key pad.

Here is my safe, which I received There is only one negative thing about this, and that is that the outer box was damaged. The Delivery Guy was able to deliver it despite it being broken, but perhaps it was dropped and broke. It was OK to open the main box and examine the contents. There isn't much wear to it, and it looks like it's in excellent condition. The wheels have no dents or scratches on them. The combination I had worked perfectly well and I was able to open the lock with the keys. There is a desiccant pack inside and lining on the inside of the box. IMPORTANT I followed the instructions and the batteries came with the kit. I re-installed the batteries (Not included) and re-opened it. The code was written by her. There was no problem with the door. The springs are The white LED inside is dim, but there is a yellow LED inside as well. When the room is completely black, it will probably be brighter. As far as I can tell, it has a very strong impact. At the bottom is a mounting plate with six holes. My plan is to use carriage bolts and loc-tite to attach it to a shelf in my closet Secure it in such a way that it can only be removed by a specialist.
