A cracked dashboard is a big turn off, especially in otherwise nice cars. This product was awesome, I had to have a shot on it. In terms of installation, I would definitely leave it overnight and then I would put a good amount of weight on the gauges. As weight plates, I used a 5 pound and a 10 pound weight plate. If you can, you should put a lot of weight on it. I was blown away by the end result once the silicone cured.
It is nearly perfect how the molding blends into your existing dash, the color, and the texture. Watch multiple installation videos and be sure to have everything ready to go. "Dry fit" without adhesive to see where weights, clamps, and wedges should be used. Spread silicone adhesive thinly as it might dry too quickly before it's pressed into place. This can lead to weights being held down in some areas if used too thinly. When the silicone adhesive is not used adequately or if it is not pressed into place fast enough, it is much easier to remove the excess adhesive rather than to try to reapply some areas that will not adhere.
