Questions & Answers

Is it compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+?

It is not compatible with the iPhone 6 Plus. Consider using the PD- Instead of 4u, the PD3u is used.

Which model should you get if you want to carry a Galaxy S10?

This is what I'm using to hold my Pixel 3a xl phone. It didn't fit, so I had to adjust the spring (and cut some off) to get it to fit. It should now fit snugly while remaining simple to remove. I'm not sure how large a Samsung Galaxy S10 is. On YouTube, I learned how to do it. I wish you the best of luck and hope that I was able to assist you in some way.

Will an otterbox fit an iPhone 6 Plus?

I have an iPhone 6 with a case that is slightly smaller than the otterbox, and there is about a 3/8" gap in the length of my phone to get it in; you could make a small modification to the retaining fingers to gain more clearance, but I would say no as is.

Holds a 6" phablet almost perfectly, but not quite; It should fit any smaller phone perfectly
4/5

Here's where I put a disclaimer: I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that I was trying to use it with a 6" phablet phone. Let's get one thing out of the way right away: This cradle is not designed to hold a 6"-long object. It's too short for a screen device, and that's the *ONLY* reason I'm not giving it five stars. br>br>The devil is in the details. details and grit: br>This is a fantastically written piece. This is a well-made, sturdy cradle that does not appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. The design is well-thought-out, and it securely but safely holds any device that fits inside. The device comes with four side arms, as well as machine screws and Nylok lock nuts to attach them, and there are six slots available for installation. (Tip: Screw the screws into the case from the back. The depth and width of the slots in which the side arms slide are just right for holding the locknuts captive while tightening them. ) To avoid your phone's side buttons, you can install side arms in any four (or, obviously, fewer) of the six slots. br>br>There's only one problem with it for me, and it might not be a problem for you if you're trying to use it with a smaller device: RAM Mount's own specifications for this cradle say it can hold devices from 2. 25" to 3. 25" wide x 4" tall 75" to 6. 25" long. These specifications are, unfortunately, incorrect. br>br>First and foremost, the PD3U's width specification is actually conservative: with the side arms installed and tightened down as far as they will go, the PD3U can hold a device up to 3. It's 375 inches wide, not three. 25". In an Otterbox Commuter case, this makes it wide enough to hold a 6" tablet phone like a Samsung Galaxy Note. Furthermore, you could adjust it down to hold a device as narrow as 1. 25 inches by flipping one or both sets of side arms around. 25" (if you can find a small enough device to use it with). The LENGTH, on the other hand, is a different story. The maximum length, according to RAM, is six characters. 25". And it is correct that a 6 will be *held* by it. If you can fit it in there, it'll be a 25" long device. However, because the moving jaw will not open wide enough to allow you to actually *insert* a device longer than 6" long from the front, you'll have to remove one set of side arms and slide the device in from the side. br>br>Now, this isn't an issue for a device that's less than 6" long (say, a phone up to a 5. Screen size: 5" And I believe I can make it work in my case because my plan calls for mounting the cradle sideways anyway, so I can just use all three side arm slots on what will become the bottom edge, leave the top edge completely open, and slide my Galaxy Note 3 in from the top. However, if you want to use this with a 6" device and the cradle upright, the excessive length might be an issue. br>br>Design and construction receive two Technical Thug thumbs up. One star deducted due to inaccuracies in the specifications — but this is RAM Mount's fault, not Spartan POS's. If RAM made a cradle that looked exactly like this one but was half the price, I'd buy it. It would be ideal for 6" phablet phones, even in rugged cases, if it were an inch or two longer. I'm confident that anything shorter than 6" will work well with this one.

The iPhone XS is compatible with this case
5/5

I needed a new phone holder for my motorcycle, but there aren't any cool molded options for the phone just yet. There are six mounting points for the side brackets, but you must use the lower four slots to avoid the buttons on the iPhone X or iPhone XS. I adjusted the right-hand side to ensure a perfect fit. When I tried to get everything super-organized, I discovered that the middle pin was catching on the SIM tray. snug. It's a very secure grip. br>br> I grabbed the mount and swung it around with all my might (up and down, back and forth, etc. ) in the hopes that the phone would fall out somewhere I could recover it. This is a fantastic deal. It's worth noting that Face ID won't work while the phone is in the cradle. The upper echelon The sensor is obscured by the right hook. I tried turning it around, and while it solves the problem, it creates new ones. If you want to use your phone for GPS, make sure it's unlocked before inserting it.

In a nutshell, it's fantastic
5/5

Holds your phone VERY securely, is simple to set up, and only takes a second to put or remove your phone. If you're interested, here's the extended version. br>br>I've been trying to figure out how to mount my phone to my bike instead of an older Garmin, and this plastic piece fit the mountings the previous owner had (I believe it was an SW-1). Is this a high-tech product? With the exception of the fact that it can only be mounted in portrait mode, it works perfectly. To be clear, this is NOT a flaw with this item; however, if I were to invest in a ball-point pen, this would be one of the first things I would look for. I could mount my phone at any angle with the and-arm RAM product. This is 100% the fault of the specific base I am using, which I do not believe to be a RAM product.

On to the holder itself - The total setup time was around 30 minutes, and the base I was using was significantly more complicated than standard RAM bases. If you already have a RAM ball on your bike, I'm sure you could set it up in 15 minutes or less; the springs are insanely strong. It easily accommodates my Samsung Galaxy S5 with an Otterbox Commuter Series, with plenty of room to spare. I'm pretty sure a Galaxy Note with a bulky protective case would fit, but that may be the upper limit. It has a high level of safety. At first, I was apprehensive; after all, I'm putting my trust in a stranger. Every day, I rely on this $500 device to keep me connected for work and social life. My faith was not misplaced in the least. My phone was placed in it in less than a second. Wow. At about 20 mph, I purposefully hit a couple of potholes that I usually avoid on my way out of my neighborhood. The phone didn't move an inch. I am blown away. On my way to work, I stop for a cup of coffee, which is ready in under a second. Wow, once more. It's already driven a few hundred miles at speeds ranging from parking lots to highways, avoiding and avoiding bumps, and performing emergency maneuvers, all without ever doubting the phone's security. You could use a rubber band to secure it if you wanted to use it for trail riding, but this isn't required. It vibrates a little, but since I'm not using a rubber RAM ball, it might not vibrate as much if you use one. It doesn't hide my camera, which is nice, but it's installed with the camera facing out the windshield of my V-Sport. Strom and the vibration it produces produce video that makes me look like I'm riding a submarine; not bad for a dash cam, but not good enough for a motovlogger setup. A RAM ball mounting could, once again, make all the difference in this situation. For now, I'm satisfied with the visibility of Google Maps navigation and the ability to see the caller ID when the phone rings in my helmet bluetooth.

Mounting system that is solid
5/5

Much better than the X-Men's X-Men's X- Grip. Because I ride my motorcycle off-road, I decided to purchase this. I didn't want my phone to fall out while I was on the road. I have been using this mount for a couple of months and so far it has 100% served me well. My friend is in possession of the X-ray machine. It has a poor grip in wet weather. In addition, I can use one hand to mount the phone and the X-ray with the other. Two people are required for grip. Other mounts appeared to be just as sturdy, but required you to either purchase a special case or screw the mount into place every time you put it on and then take it off. It's a no-no to remove your phone. br>br>For what it's worth, I have an iPhone X and it fits perfectly in the Apple leather case. The mount, on the other hand, is extremely adjustable, so I'm confident it'll fit most phones and cases. br>br>Strongly suggested. br>br>.
