A scratched CD or DVD has never been an issue for me. On one side, the envelopes are clear plastic, while on the other, they are "soft synthetic." (It feels like cloth, but I'm sure it's nylon.) br>I'll say that I keep it clean. When I'm not using it, I tuck it away and keep it zipped up at all times. It'll either stay in my car or on the dresser of the hotel where I'll be staying. I don't go to the beach or the park with it. I'm sure it would be a bad thing if sand or dirt got into the case. br>Just to let you know, I've had this case since 2006 or 2008.
It has only been about two months since I purchased it, but it is still in excellent condition.
When the cover is only opened to the left, it stays open but not flat on the table surface. When at least one page of DVDs is placed on top of it and flipped to the left, the cover lies flat on the table surface. I hope this information is useful.
The case's binding is where the sleeves are attached.

br>br>The case appears to be very durable. I couldn't find any obvious flaws in the product, and I didn't detect any of the pungent odors that many other reviews have mentioned. It's spotless, well-made, and odorless. I was satisfied, so I stuffed the case with brand new Blu-ray discs. ray discs and placed it in my television stand. br>br>After a few days, I checked the discs I had stored inside and discovered dust and scratch damage. Before I put them in the sleeves, all of the discs I kept in this wallet were in perfect condition. Unfortunately, this isn't the case any longer. I filled it with videogame discs that were also in perfect condition to put it to the test. Several of the discs had minor scratching on the data side the next morning. br>br>I've removed all of the discs from this wallet. Closer inspection reveals that the sleeve material is more abrasive than the material in my larger wallets of the same brand, implying that it is harming Blu-ray players. ray discs in such a short period of time is a bad sign. br>br>As much as I'd like to believe I got a lemon, I can't recommend this product based on my experience. I strongly advise anyone who insists on purchasing one to store discs of lower financial/personal value in order to avoid possible damage to irreplaceable items. At the very least, make sure to check your discs on a regular basis.
In most cases, the construction quality is subpar. This is a one-of-a-kind situation. br>br>On the outside, there's a nice, smooth poly/rubber design that looks like it'll last for years. Despite the fact that the fabric is thin, the plastic that holds it in place does the job. I have a fairly large Bluray collection, so I was able to conveniently store all 75 in two cases, rather than a massive, unsightly row of blue cases that made my house look like a Best Buy, which was a concern of mine. br>br>Overall, I'm happy with it, and according to everyone I know, I have a condition called Cynical-Anxiety Disorder. As a result, any praise I give is lavish.
The absence of plastic tabs at the top of each disc slot is one advantage of this case. When inserting or removing discs from slots, this eliminates the annoyance of pulling on tabs. It also protects the discs from smudge marks caused by holding the tabs. Because the secure tabs were missing, I flipped the case over and shook it gently three times before inspecting the discs. All of the discs were still firmly seated in their respective slots. They shouldn't leave their slots unless you're violent with them. br>br>Another thing to keep in mind is that If you slam your face into it, it emits an unusual odor. Definitely worth a shot. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> br>Overall, a fantastic case that is well worth the money to protect your valuables (games, software, CDs, DVDs, etc. ).
The thick and sturdy outer cover is a nice touch. The polypropylene prosleeves keep dirt and dust out of the delicate surfaces of CDs, preventing them from being scratched. I was concerned at first that the inside pockets would be too thin, but they have held up well. I have no reservations about recommending this CD case. It's the best one I've come across so far.
Case Logic makes some fantastic carriers. I went to this company because I needed something protective and because my husband has an old one in the back of his car that's at least 15 years old and still protecting his music CDs. The holders are made of the same material as the old ones, and none of his CDs have ever been scratched. We're planning a cross-country trip in an Airstream that will take several months. Because cable and streaming services appear to be risky, I decided to set aside a significant portion of our DVD collection for late-night viewing. viewing in the evening There was a time when TV shows were sold in ridiculously large boxes with an absurd number of disks, ostensibly to make the buyer feel like he was getting his money's worth. I was able to fit all of the disks from the old British series UFO, The Avengers complete set, All Creatures Great and Small complete set, and Sherlock Holmes and Boston Blackie inside while still having room. Unlike the others I've read about, you can fill this to the very last page of holders, rather than leaving them empty, because it won't close when it's full. It's also easy to grip, even when it's full. It doesn't have a strap, but it doesn't really need one, and it has a very secure cloth hook hanger on top. I was so happy when I finished that I ordered two more. br>br>There is only one gripe - They should come in a few more colors, in my opinion. I went to the Case Logic website and discovered that it's not just Amazon that Case Logic works with. Only the color blue is available. Given the lack of a label, being able to color-code would be ideal. I'll either have to tag them or open them to see which one it is when I'm digging them out of the back of my SUV or the drawers under the bed.
For our van, we purchased this. When we go on long road trips, we have to cycle through movies to keep our daughters entertained in the back seat. This is far superior to the visor we previously had. We suspect that the one we used for our visor scratched the disks to the point where some of them stopped working. Not only does this one appear to protect the disks better, but it also appears to hold more. It's a win-win situation for both parties. For long trips in our family van, this is a win. br>br>UPDATE: July 24, 2018. br>I'm taking three stars off my original rating for this product because of the following: We keep DVDs for the kids to watch in the back of our van when we go on long trips. So, over time, we've noticed that a number of disks have become scratched and are no longer usable: (This means we'll have to buy more DVDs for the kids to watch, which is an unplanned expense that will make Papa's wallet very unhappy, as well as Papa's children, if the movie breaks down unexpectedly. ) This one is a buyer's beware:.
