Questions & Answers
This is designed to fit a Transit with a medium roof.
The bottom is held in place by two screws and brackets that hang over the top of the door. The screws will need to be drilled into two holes in your door. Stainless steel bolts, large fender washers, and nylon locking nuts were used in place of the screws.br>Posted on November 29, 2015 by Jeffrey Fuchs

Selected User Reviews For Surco 093TM Stainless Steel Van Ladder for Ford Transit (Medium Roof)
This product is a disaster in the making. It pushes the gasket away from the door on a Ford Transit cargo van, allowing large amounts of rain to drain in. It creates a quarter-inch wide hole on both mounting points, so if you want to put a ladder up, look for one that doesn't hang off the top of the door.
The bottom two bolts go straight into the door's unreinforced sheet metal area, which flexes noticeably when you step on the ladder. br>br>The self-awareness of the self-awareness of the self-awareness of the self- The metal screws that come with the kit are completely insufficient for tapping - I couldn't peel the paper backing off the provided rubber pads (the rubber layers separated before the paper backing!). br>br>I couldn't peel the paper backing off the provided rubber pads (the rubber layers separated before the paper backing!). br>br>I couldn't peel the paper backing off the provided rubber pads (the rubber layers separated before the paper backing!). br>br>I couldn't peel the paper backing off the provided rubber pads (the rubber layers separated before the paper I had no choice but to cut my own rubber pads because of this.
This ladder is very useful because my van is so tall, but you have to screw it into the van's door, which I didn't like because the screw comes loose and needs to be tightened from time to time. I'm not a fan of anything that needs to be screwed in on the outside of an expensive vehicle.
The mounting system is a complete disaster. I hooked it on the top of the door because I didn't think the hook had enough lip to grab the top of the door. It did come with sponge pads, which I pressed into place before bolting it down. Well, it's been three days and I've got a bent ladder and a dented door, thanks to another driver who came up to tell me I was dragging my ladder.
makes a ding in the bottom of the door.
But so far, so good; I'm not complaining because of the price. My 2017 Transit midroof was a perfect fit. It has two screws on the bottom and is hung from the top of the door. Is it effective?.
It's a perfect match for my mid-length dress. cargo transit on the roof Simple to set up.
