Questions & Answers

Does this kit allow for the wire of the abs? I have abs sensors on the front of my truck. ?

Yes, the factory ABS sensors are supported by this kit.

Is there a difference between a warn hub and a dynalock, or is the name the only distinction?

The Dynaloc hub is approximately 3X stronger and 3/4" shallower than the Warn hub. It also has a one-of-a-kind feature in that if the hub fails, it locks instead of opening.

Is it possible to complete this project on your own?

Yes- Many of our customers have them installed in their homes. It'll only take a few minutes longer than replacing the stock unit bearings. To learn more about what's involved, as well as the tolls that must be paid, visit Dynatrac's website.

What is the increase in MPG after this kit is installed?

Depending on the truck and driving style, this can be quite different. Some men claim to have gained 1/2 mpg, while others claim to have gained 3 mpg. I advise customers to get the kit for the sake of reliability, and any mileage gains should be considered a bonus.

Don't put your faith in Dynatrac's customer service

The vendor followed through on his promises and delivered the product on time. The problem started when the system was being installed. I contacted Dynatrac for help with setting up the Warn hubs in the Dynatrac hub. The tech was obnoxious. He assured me that if I installed them according to the instructions, they would work fine. In fact, they don't, and when I had a 4x4 shop look at the installation, they said the Warn hubs didn't fully lock the axle to the Dynatrac hub. Last Friday afternoon, I called Dynatrac again, and they promised to have a technician call me back. He failed to call, leaving me stranded in a snowstorm without four-wheel drive. Terrible customer service from a company that advertises itself as a premium product!.

I've got a shop full of bullit-proof hubs

It only took about 3 hours because I was a young wrench tuner. If you've never worked on a 4x4 before, take it to a shop. By the way, you'll need to use stock Dodge u joints, which will set you back $125 per side, so factor that in.
