My sincere thanks.
It was a complete surprise when after surviving the first trip without a hitch, they both blew up without a sound. I had no idea why my wheels weren't spinning, then I It was obvious to me that something had gone wrong. It was determined that these Chinese hubs are constructed of poor alloy that only does an attractive job of looking You may be able to use it occasionally if it looks nice. My rating has been changed from 4 stars to 2. There was no way to fit the gaskets without tearing them. It does not pose much of a problem since rtv silicone is the most reliable. Tighten with a thin wall socket as others can cause the bolt to bind between the hub and bolt. previously purchased the same brand and was very satisfied with it so I'm waiting to see if these will be as good. It doesn't seem as if the locks work, as another reviewer noted.
The hub is nice, it's not gold but chrome, and it looks a lot better than the picture shows.
These are great replacement hubs for a Dana 30 on a Snap rings are easy to install if you have pliers for snap rings.
All the literature was read and I applied liberal amounts of red grease on the inside of these hubs. I added a tad of the same red grease as recommended in the literature It's loaded with some grease, but you might want to add a little more. The axle end was also fitted with a new snap ring measuring 1" in diameter. I noticed that there were two bolts on each side that appeared offset enough that the thin wall socket I was using wasn't able to slide over them. In the end, I managed to successfully use a 9/16 open end wrench. You should take them off to wash and lubricate along with your wheel bearings over the course of a year. They look great and work like a charm.
